Through the description of D-Day, this article shows students how cruel the war is and we should remember the lost heroes and cherish the peace.【why】 Students will know more about the D-Day Landings and realize the cruelty of war throug

3、h this article. Whats more they can have a better understanding of the relationship of war and peace.【How】 1. This article is organized in the order of time. Passage 1 and 2 is about what happened in D-Day landings and passage 3 is an event after D-Day.2. The author used many writing techniques to o

4、rganize the article such as listing numbers, giving examples, and quotation. For example, to stress the cruelty of the war, many numbers are used in this article. Students analysis:The students can understand the basic information and feel part of the authors attitude in this article. But it will be

5、 difficult for them to express themselves in English. Most of them lack the ability of analyzing the genre and structure of the article.
