It cant be seen or heard, or touched or tasted, even though it may be all around us. There are other things like that. For example,

But unlike common radio waves, nuclear radiation is not harmless to human beings and other living things. At very high levels, radiation

這里是強調(diào)句,結(jié)構(gòu)是:It is/was+強調(diào)部分+that,判斷是否是強調(diào)句的方法是去掉強調(diào)結(jié)構(gòu),這句話仍然成立,就是強調(diào)句,這里如果去掉強調(diào)結(jié)構(gòu)是I began to have doubts about whether my story had ever been told then.

、cow, now, how, however, brown, tower, power, town等;ow在如下單詞中發(fā)ou:low, row , bowl, blow , slow, know。故選A?? 3D【解析】答案D這是一個強調(diào)句,強調(diào)狀語with great joy,故選D。 這里是強調(diào)句式,強調(diào)主語Tom,as well as 是副詞,既又;除之外(也);此外。as well as two of his classmates不是主語。

the front door是特指Jack所走過去的門,a strange sight是泛指,相當于a certain sight,起初次介紹的作用。 8A【解析】答案Atake off 是“(飛機)起飛”;get off “下車”;get into“上車;參與;開始”;take out

故A正確。

It is the first time+從句,從句的謂語是用現(xiàn)在完成時,如果是It was the first time+從句,從句的謂語就是had done,所以選C??

所以選A??

、”;avoid“避免”;agree“同意”。 Its up to sb意為“由某人決定”。 the number與the amount都表示“的數(shù)量”,the number后跟可數(shù)名詞,the amount后跟不可數(shù)名詞。

went to 準備做;stayed on繼續(xù)停留;traveled on乘坐;lived in住進。 故選A。 With和.在一起;of關(guān)于;as如同; from從。固定結(jié)構(gòu) the same . as . used for用于;put with忍受

、;prepared for為. .was used for . looked at看;watched觀察;caught捕捉;ate吃。

got得到;printed畫;made制作;took拿。 another adventure另一次探險;the second trip第二次旅行;once more stay再一次呆著;next work接下來的工作

故選A。 Search搜尋;come to想起;find發(fā)現(xiàn);look for尋找。 根據(jù)文章第四句話“ Language is for the exchange(交流)of ideas and information.

根據(jù)文章中“Native speakers make mistakes and break rules, too. Bernard Shaw once wrote,F(xiàn)oreigners often speak English too correctly.” 根據(jù)該句前“ One shouldnt be afraid of making mistakes when speaking a foreign languag

、e.”及文章最后一句“So Chinese students of English should pay attention to grammar, but they shouldnt overdo(做過頭)it. They should put communication(交際)first.” 根據(jù)文章中“ One shouldnt be afra

、id of making mistakes when speaking a foreign language.” Nuclear radiation has a certain mystery about it, partly because it cannot be detected b

、y human senses. This is another reason for some of the mystery about nuclear radiation. But if the few cells are only damaged, and if they reproduce themselves, you may be in trouble. They can grow into cancer. Sometimes this does not show up for many years.

But even the lowest levels can do serious damage. Nuclear radiation has a certain mystery about it, partly because it cannot be detected by human senses. But unlike common radio waves, nuclear

、 radiation is not harmless to human beings and other living things. A person can be irradiated(輻射)and feel fine, then die for cancer five, ten, or twenty years later as a result. Serious damage can be done without the victim being aware at the time that dam

、age has occurred. If the radiation does not hit anything important, the damage may not be serious. Nuclear powers danger to health, safety, and even life itself can be summed up in one word: radiation. A person can be irradiated(輻射)and feel fine, then die for cancer five, ten, or twenty years later as a result.
