SCOPE OF WORK General Description This Method statement is made to enumerate the procedure to perform installation of Field Instruments works in Primary infrastructure MARDUMAH, phase - 2 . The purpose of this statemen
5、t is to establish guidelines to carryout Installation of field Instruments for Primary infrastructure MARDUMAH, phase - 2 Project to ensure that the Work is carried out in accordance with RC section 13420 and as per latest issued IFC drawings. Before commencement of work, work permit shall be obtain
6、ed from RC for the Installation of field Instruments. 2.2 Plant and equipment. The following equipments shall be used for field Instrument installation.Welding machine Grinding Tools.Cutting machines.Hand tools - As required by the manufacturers instructions calibration instruments (up to date). 2.3
7、 Materials All materials shall be strictly in accordance with the latest RC standards and Specifications and RC guide lines. Deliver, handle and storage of materials and product units shall be strictly in Accordance with the SECTIONS 01650 and 01660. Code -1 must be allotted for all the materials to
8、 be used. All the materials shall be purchased and deliver to site at least 2 weeks before Installation. Provide marking on each item in accordance with the manufacturers instruction. Ship each unit securely wrapped, crated or packaged and labelled for safe handling in shipment and to avoid damage o
9、r distortion. Ensure equipment and materials are delivered to site originally packed, securely wrapped and labelled by manufacturer in unopened containers. Protect materials during delivery to comply with manufacturers direction. All instruments will be stored according manufacturer instructions. St
10、ore materials at building site strictly according to manufacturers instruction. Store products or equipment in dry and ventilated place. The Contractor is held responsible for any damage of the cables and Accessories during storage, transportation, installation and testing. Ensure that the Q.C inspe
11、ction is done and the reports are handover to the Royal Commission representative. Site planning & preparation Work permit will be approved by RC relevant department before work commence. Construction Manager shall discuss to his site engineers and site Supervisors the given Schedule of work dissemi
12、nating respective responsibilities and proper planning for the activities .He shall discuss the interfacing of work with respect to other discipline and/ or activities to consider field Instrument installation and other related works. Site plans ,specifications ,drawings and related documents shall
13、be Prepared and reviewed by site superintendent together with his field engineer With regards to their Respective areas and tackle all aspects to consider logistics and resources availabilities. And confirm the instrument is inspected and its Ready for installation. All the instrument will be calibr
14、ated before installation and then immediately release for the construction for installation. All the instruments and entries (tubing and cabling) shall be preserved during construction stage to avoid damage. Manufacturers instructions for installation of all instruments should be available at site.
15、2.5 Work Methodology Field Instrument Installation. All works shall be carried out as per RC standards latest revision section 13420 13440. and latest approved IFC drawings. Work must be carried out as per manufacturer instructions and supervision for all instrumentation. Field Instrument Installati
16、on (Note : Stanchion mounted instruments includes pressure transmitter ,temperature transmitter, flow transmitter , differential pressure transmitter and level transmitter) All the field instruments are installed as per the IFC drawings. The location of the instrument will be determined, using instr
17、ument location drawing, P &I D, Piping isometric drawings, which is near to the tapping point. All instrument elevation is from grade level. Instrument stanchion will be installed at the elevation as shown on the location plan, layout & installation detail drawing. The location of instruments instal
18、led will permit easy access from grade, platforms or stairways, for inspection operation and maintenance. Locations will be also minimizing the possibility of damage from falling or passing objects and from fire. All instrument stanchions will be fabricated as per Support details & Instrument design
19、 index IFC drawings. Instrument Stanchion will be hot dip galvanized after fabricated. Support stanchion for instruments will be bolted or welded to structural steel or fixed to concrete as per IFC Drawing. After welding or grinding of support or structural steel, the welded or grinded portion will
20、be subjected to a mild paint touch up. Base plate of instrument support will have a 25mm gap from the concrete surface or grade. Sand cement grout will be used to fill the void as per IFC drawing. Face of indicator shall be vertical for the temperature instruments. Indicators and switches shall be i
21、nstalled in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations or the Contract IFC Drawings. All indicators and switches for pipelines and vessels shall be installed in separable wells. Capillaries shall be run in protective steel channel, with any excess neatly coiled for the temperature instruments
22、 Ensure that the transmitters has instrument calibration sticker with signature, prior to installation. Transmitter will be installed on the stanchions with the help of U-bolt & mounting bracket at correct elevation. Instrument installation will be clearly visible and easy accessible for calibration
23、, repair without requiring the removal of piping, grating or other structure. Instrument installation will be free from shock, excessive vibration or temperature extreme. Installed Instruments will be in correctly levelled and aligned before fastening to the supports. Instruments will be grounded wi
24、th 6mm green/yellow insulated conductor as per IFC Drawing. Care will be taken while connecting the tube of low pressure side and high pressure side of the equalising/isolation manifolds. All tubing & fitting will be stainless steel and in compliance with project specification & as per IFC drawings.
25、 All vent valves or tubes connected to vent ports will be directed away from the normal personnel access position. Wherever the process connections of instrument are more than one instruments, each will be independently isolated without affecting the function of other instrument process as per IFC d
26、rawing & Project specification. Instrument sunshade will be fitted at proper height, levelled & aligned before fastening to the instrument support in accordance with IFC drawing to ensure that instrument is in centre. Stanchions will be grounded into the nearest grounding bus bar as per the specific
27、ation/instrument grounding philosophy. Name plate tag will install on the instrument. Name plate will phenolic 3 ply (white/black/white). Name plate will contain instrument tag number, instrument type, and service description as per detail drawing. Name plate will permanently mounted to a galvanized
28、 flat bar extension of the instrument stand. Instrument installation will be inspected as per approved ITP. All instruments not allowed to installed on a handrail. All instruments should have a shutoff (root) valve that is readily accessible. Where the root valve is not accessible, pipe or tubing sh
29、ould be added and an additional instrument valve installed at a convenient location.Inline Flange Mounted Transmitters( Note : Inline Flange Mounted transmitter includes Flow meter -Vortex, flow meter - electromagnetic ) The location of Flange mounted transmitter will be determined from P&ID, isomet
30、ric diagram. Ensure that the hydraulic pressure test has to complete from piping discipline prior going for installation. Ensure that the transmitters has calibrated sticker with signature, prior to installation. Flange mounted transmitter will be installed by pipe fitter, instrument fitter will ass
31、ist to Piping crew to technically support. Ensure that the specification of instrument flange & pipe line flange will meet together. If any conflict, Site construction engineer will raise a technical query to design/engineering team to resolve the issue immediately. All the bolts, gasket will be ide
32、ntified from isometric diagram and installation hook up diagram. Flange mounted instrument will be supported by miscellaneous pipe support if required. It will determine from isometric diagram. Flange Mounted transmitters will be grounded into the nearest grounding bus bar as shown in instrument Gro
33、unding. Instrument grounding cable size is 6 mm2 & green colour as per the instrument detail diagram. Name plate tag will install on the instrument. Name plate will phenolic 3 ply (white/black/white). Name plate will contain instrument tag number, instrument type, and service description as detail d

35、.C as per the requirement of Royal Commission.The contractors key personnel assigned to the performance of the work shall not be reassigned without RC approval until satisfactory replacement has been approved By the RC. The contractor shall appoint a competent, English speaking project manager. Such
36、 Project manager shall have overall responsibility for the work, whether performed in Contractors home or branch offices, at the site or elsewhere, and shall be present at The site during such period. Contractor should retain supervision services from the instrument supplier during installation.Cont
37、ractors superintendent is authorized representative shall be an English speaking to represent and act with full authority for contractor at the site in absence of contractors project manager.The contractor shall nominate following key personnel in accordance with the Requirements. Health and safety 3.1 Risk Assessments Risk should be revised under the following condition.If change in activitie

43、ractual Requirements:CHEC shall adopt and promote the zero accident policy for our performance of The work under this contract.CHEC will appoint sufficient ES&H personnel to manage the work.CHEC managers and supervisors shall familiar with an end force site rules, regulations and all actions taken t
44、o ensure compliance with the CHEC and RC ES&H program.CHEC shall ensure that all our equipment and operators are competent, Experience and qualified.CHEC site management shall attend the weekly toolbox meeting.CHEC safety manager shall complete the file and make available to the RC Weekly toolbox me
45、eting record.3.5 Information to personnel:A schedule will be posted a day before any delivery to advise all responsible Personnel.Pre-task briefings will be carried.3.6 Emergency Procedures:In case of an emergency, Site Foremen/Leadsmen shall ensure the following: Stop work Shut down all equipment E
46、vacuate all personnel to assembly point Account for every men Re-enter work area only with permission from the competent person Emergency plan will be as established and communicated in the Site specific Construction H&S plan. Safety coverage will be as per safety plan approved from Royal Commission
47、. Safety officers will be available all the time during working hours To avoid any accident or to act in an emergency. Display the emergency numbers. Ambulance available. First Aid Kit provide at job site.Permit Requirements: All work will be coordinated with Royal Commission safety Departments4 ENV
48、IRONMENTAL ISSUES4.1 Environmental Impact assessment:CHEC shall identify the construction activities during the work that are like to produce Any hazardous waste. These wastes shall be segregated in the following categories:General construction waste (concrete, blocks, bricks, woods, etc.)MetalsHaza
49、rdous waste/ spilling waste (fuel, oils, etc.)Domestic waste (plastics, food, bottles, etc.) 4.2 ES&H Requirements:According to Special Condition of Royal Commission ES&H Manual 400 series, CHECWill follow and maintain all Environmental law and regulations.4.3Contractual Requirements: CHEC shall pro
50、vide adequate number of skips or containers (bins) clearly Identifiable for each category of waste. CHEC shall educate our employee through toolbox talk and signage on Segregation or the above waste and the use of waste receptacles. All general construction waste will dispose at RC approved landfill
51、 site. CHEC shall abide by all RC environmental code and standard for the disposal of Hazardous waste and dispose of through the correct and approved establishment CHEC will maintain housekeeping on the site daily.4.4 Emergency Procedures:In case of an emergency, Site Foremen/Leadsmen shall ensure t

54、ts:The contractor quality inspector is fully responsible for monitoring, pre-inspection,Inspection of the work and shall ensure that project specification, approved quality manual, QC plan, method of statement and inspection and test plan are fully being adhered during work operation.Contractor QC s
55、hall co-ordinate with Employer representative / Employer QC Personnel regarding quality aspect of the on-going work and makes sure the Inspection and testing requirement.Quality activities shall be in accordance with ITP and required documentations. Contractor QC personnel shall co-ordinate with thi
56、rd party independent testing Laboratory (if required) and get all the tests report as soon as possible. He shall Raise IR. For all hold point and witness to RC QC. Personnel at 24&48 hours prior to Inspection schedule.Contractor QC Engineer shall make sure that all the material to be used for above
57、Work shall be approved by RC being stored and handled as per Recommended by manufactured MSDS.(Method Statement Data sheet).5.2 Critical works:Site induction to be completed task specific injuries due to inexperience, in Adequate consultation or failure to provide appropriate equipment.Erect formwor
58、k frames trip hazard, back injury, second frame falling.Dismantle formwork, stripping to decks, beams and ramps falls from heights.Erection and dismantling of walls, columns, stairs, decks and beams-permanent or serious back injury due to improper manual handling, death or serious injury due to explosive power tools, injury to head caused by hitting projecting timber or false work hardware, injury caused by step
