Knowledge ObjectivesStudents are able to master key words: jacket, sweater, shorts, socks.Students are able to understand target sentences: Where is/are.? What color is it/are they? I want to wear.b. Ability ObjectiveStudents are able to make a dialogue with their classmates using key words and target sentences.c. Emotional ObjectivesStudents are interested in learning English, and they have the confidence in speaking English. Teaching key and difficult pointsa. Key point: Students are able to master key words.b. Difficult point: Students are able to use key words and target sentences to make a dialogue in their daily life. Teaching preparationPPT, Tape, Pictures, Video, Clothes Teaching DesignStep 1: Warming up TPR activity Do “Lets do” together.Step 2: Review Review key words and target sentences of the last class. Key words: hat, clothes, skirt, pants, dress Target sentences: Whose.is this/are they? Are these yours?Step 3: Presentationa. Show and guessThe teacher shows related pictures of key words, meanwhile, lets students guess what they are.b. Read and spellThe teacher reads these key words one by one, meanwhile, lets students read following her. Then the teacher leads students to spell them one by one.Step 4: Practicea. Guessing gameThe teacher hides pictures behind, then shows one suddenly, to see which group can speak out and spell key words quickly, the most quick group will be added one score. At last, which group who has the most scores will be the winner.b. Finding game The teacher leads students to use target sentences to make a dialogue to make a dialogue to find their own things, like clothes and so on.A: Where is/are.?B: What color is it/are they?A: It is/They are.B: They are/It is in/on/under.c. Showing gameThe teacher takes out the clothes which are prepared before. Let students choose one they like, then make a T-show. In the process, we set a rule: If you think the clothes is suitable for her/him, you should speak out the key word loudly, otherwise you speak it in low voice.Step 5: Summing up Repeat the key words and target sentences again.Step 6: Homework Write down which kind of clothes you want to choose for your trip as well as the reason you choose it. Then youd better share it in the next class. Advantage: a. Various English activities help students involve in the class quickly.b. Prepare enough time for students to make a dialogue using key words and target sentences.Disadvantage:a. In the review step, I didnt set certain activities for students to review and consolidate the target sentences which we have learnt in the last class, like “Whose.is this/are these?”.b. In the presentation step, I spent a little time in teaching new key words. Although, there were some students who had made preparation
