當今世界,戰(zhàn)爭不斷,沖突升級,給孩子們帶來了怎樣的傷害呢?ChildreninconflictOverthelasttenyears,twomillionchildrenhavebeenkilledinconflict.Overonemillionhavebeenorphaned,oversixmillionhavebeenseriouslyinjuredorpermanentlydisabledandovertenmillionhavebeenleftwithseriouspsychologicaltrauma.Since1998therehavebeenarmedconflictsinvolvingChildSoldiersinatleast36countries.However,thetraumaticscarsleftonchildrenarejustoneofavastaftermathofpostwarproblems:refugees,foodshortagesandmourningforlostrelatives.FormerChildSoldiersmayatbesthavetheirneedsforgottenandatworstbeblamedbytheirmunitiesforwhathappened.Asyouwouldexpect,SOSChildrenworkinmanycountriestohelpChildSoldiersandotherchildrenscarredbyconflict.AswellasourcurrentfocusprojectsforUgandanChildSoldiersandchildreninPalestine,weareworkingaroundtheworldwithchildrenwhoseliveswillneverbethesame.OthercurrentChildSoldierprojectsincluderehabilitationofChildSoldiersinSudanwhereSOSisprovidingcounselling,family-tracing,educationandsupportforformerChildSoldiers.WearealsoabletolookbackfromlongexperienceattheissueofChildSoldiers.TenyearsafterthemassacreinRwanda,weareworkingtorebuildlives.Ninemembersofourmunityweremurderedinthegenocidethere.Another,whowasforcedtobeeachildsoldierandjointheconflict,onlytolosealegtoalandmine,isinterviewedonourRwandapage.“Warviolateseveryrightofachild—therighttolife,therighttobewithfamilyandnurturedandrespected.”[閱讀障礙詞]1.trauman.
