3.1GenericRequirements

3.1.1

Inspectionofequipmentandmaterialsshallbeconductedinthepresenceofboththeproject

ownersorthesupervisioncompanysrepresentativesandtherepresentativesoftheconstructioncompany.

3.1.2

Equipmentandmaterialsshallbevisuallyinspected;specificationsandmodelsshallbe

checked;andquantityshallbecounted.Morefocusedinspectionshallbeconductedwhenany

abnormityisfound.

3.1.3

Adetailedrecordshallbemadefortheequipmentandmaterialsthathavebeeninspected.

3.2EquipmentInspection

3.2.1

Equipmentspecifications,modelsandquantityshallmeettherequirementsoftheprocurement

contractanddesigndocument.

3.2.2

Equipmentpackagingshallbecomplete,withoutsignsofbreakage,beingdampedoroverheatingand

freeofsignificantdepressions.專用

Allequipmentshallbecheckedagainstthepackinglistandproperlyrecorded.

3.2.4

Afterinspection,allequipmentshallbestoredinaclassifiedmannerandproperlymarkedto

loss.

Landcables,ODFandlandcablejointsshallbeinspectedinaccordancewiththecurrent

Metalstructuralmembersshallbesmoothinsurfaceanduniformincolor;

Allfastenersshallbeinsolidandreliableconnection,cabinetsealingstripsshallbesmoothlyand

firmlystucktothecabinet,andaccessoriesshallbecomplete;

Beforeloading,submarinecablesshallbevisuallyinspected;theiropticalandelectricalparameters

Submarinecableinstallationpermitsshallbeobtainedbeforeinstallationworkscommence.

Beforemarineinstallation,foreignflagvesselsshallobtainthenon-openwatersentryapprovals.

Beachmanholeconstructionshallbecompletedbeforecablelanding.Beachmanholesshallhavea

Duringloading,thesubmarinecablesshallbevisuallychecked,theiropticalandelectricalparameters

shallbetestedonaregularbasis,andtheresultsshallmeettherequirementsofprojectcontractanddesign

document.

6.0.2

Submarinecablesandmaterialsidentifiedasnon-conformitiesduringinspectionshallnotbeused,

butthosewithminordefectsmaybeusedafterhavingbeenrepaired.Inspectedandtestedsubmarinecables

andmaterialsshallbeproperlyrecorded.

6.0.3

Theinstallationofsubmarinecablesshallbeinaccordancewiththefollowingrequirements:

Thebendingradiusforlayingsubmarinecablesshallnotbesmallerthan1meterorshallconformto

engineeringdesignrequirement;

Submarinecablesshallbelaidsnuglyagainsttheseabedwithoutsuspensionandthelayingmargin

shallmeetengineeringdesignrequirements;

3

Submarinecableslaidshallnottangleuporloop;

4

Thedeviationbetweentheas-laidpositionandplannedroute專用ofsubmarinecablesshallmeet

engineeringdesignrequirements;

5

Duringthelayingoperation,submarinecables,submarinecablejoints,BUsandrepeatersshallnot

bedamaged;

Forrepeateredsubmarinecables,powerfeedingvoltage/currentcharacteristicsandinsulation

resistancetestsshallbeconductednotonlyonadailybasis,butalsoaftereachopticalrepeater/BUhasbeen

installedandaftereachfusionsplicingoperationiscompleted.Whereconditionspermit,aC-OTDRtest

shouldbedoneandthetestresultsshallberecorded;

Forrepeaterlesssubmarinecables,OTDRandinsulationresistancetestsshallbedonenotonlyona

dailybasis,butalsoafteraBUisinstalledandaftereachfusionsplicingoperationiscompleted,withtest

resultsproperlyrecorded;

Duringtheburialoperation,theburyingploughsunderwaterworkingstatus,burialdepthandcable

tensionshallbemonitoredinareal-timemannerviatheinstrumentsontheship.Burialdepthandcable

tensionshallmeettherequirementsoftechnicalcontractanddesigndocument;

Fusionsplicingshallbeadoptedforfibersjointingandsplicinglossshallmeetdesignrequirements;

Whenthe人人文庫(kù)submarinecablecrossesanexistingsubmarinecable,powercable,orpipeline,the

crossingangleshallnotbesmallerthan60°,andwhenitcrossesapipeline,protectivemeasuresshallbe

takentoproperlyprotectthesubmarinecable;

Post-layinspectionsshallbeconductedforburiedsectionsofsubmarinecables,thetotallengthof

thesectionstobeinspectedshallmeetcontractualrequirements,andpost-layburialshallbeperformedfor

sectionsthatareconfirmedthroughtheinspectiontohavenotreachedtherequiredburialdepth.Inthe

inspection,specialattentionshallbepaidtosectionsincluding(butnotlimitedto)cablesplices,places

wherecables/pipelinescrossing,placeswheretheploughskips,andsectionssuspectedofinadequateburial

depth.

6.0.4

Installationofsubmarinecablelandingshallbeinaccordancewiththefollowingrequirements:

Thereshouldbeguardingvesselstoensureinstallationsafety;

Submarinecables′burialdepthinthetrenchofthelandingsectionandtheinlinesparecablelength

Thelengthofarticulatedpipesshallmeettherequirementsofprojectcontractanddesign

document;

Thearmorofthesubmarinecableshallbefixedtothebeachmanhole;

Theinstallationmethodthatsubmarinecablesgothroughtheseawallshallcomplywithcontractual

requirements.
