b.Inordertoobtainthethermodynamicdataofthesynthesisofethylcarbonate(EMC)fromdimethylcarbonate(DMC)anddiethylcarbonate(DEC),thestandardmolarenthalpiesofformation,GibbsfreeenergyandmolarheartcapacityunderconstantpressurearecalculatedbythemethodofBensongroupcontributions.Theenthalpychange,freeenergychange,equilibriumconstantandequilibriumconversionrateofthereactionarecalculatedanddiscussedaccordingtotheprinciplesofchemicalthermodynamicsunder300-1000K.TheresultsshowthatthefreeenergychangeinthesynthesisofEMCbytransesterificationofDMCwithDECisnegativeandthereactionisthermodynamicallyfeasible.Thefreeenergychangedecreaseswiththeincreasewiththeincreaseinthetemperature,andhighertemperatureisinfavorofthereaction.Theequilibriumconstantofthereactionisonly33.20evenat1000Kandthespontaneousdegreeofthereactionislow.
