1、Unit 7 Its raining!Section A 1a1c 一、教學背景這一單元的中心話題是Describe the weather。語法現(xiàn)象是Present Progressive Tense。繼Unit6 Im watching TV第二次出現(xiàn)了現(xiàn)在進行時態(tài),是上一單元的延續(xù)。比較上一單元,本單元增設了一個日常生活中重要的情景Talking about the weather 。學生不但要具備并熟練地掌握現(xiàn)在進行時態(tài)的意識和技巧,并且要會運用這一時態(tài)描述在各種天氣背景下人的活動。二. 教學目標1. 知識目標讓學生記住下面的單詞:rain , snow , cloudy , wind

2、y , cold , hot , cool , warm , humid 讓學生掌握下面的句型:Hows the weather like? / Whats the weather like? Its raining. Whatre you/they doing? Were/Theyre watching TV. Whats he/she doing? Hes/Shes cooking.2. 能力目標1. 能夠用所學的單詞和句型對天氣情況進行詢問和描述。2. 學生學會使用現(xiàn)在進行時態(tài)。3. 情感目標了解世界各地的天氣情況和表達自己的觀點。通過課文教學引導學生關注天氣情況,愛護環(huán)境,保護大氣等自

3、然資源的良好意識。三. 教學重、難點分析1、注意提醒學生對天氣提問的方式有兩種: “ Hows the weather?” 和 “Whats the weather like?” 2、提醒學生在學習進行時態(tài)時,應注意謂語部分應為“be + doing”。學生常忽略“be”或“doing”。四、學習策略通過任務型的教學,讓學生學會自主學習,歸納總結(jié),培養(yǎng)主動學習的能力。尤其對所學內(nèi)容能主動復習并加以整理和歸納的能力。五、教學設計. Teaching aims1. KnowledgeWords:rain,windy,cloudy,sunny,snow,weather,Moscow,Boston,h

4、ows,bad,terrinle,pretty,cool, cold, humid, warm, hotSentence structures: Hows it going? Hows the weather? Whats the weather like? 2. Ability: Talk about the weather and greet each other with a new structure.3. Cultural awareness: A new way of greetings and asking about the weather is quite a common

5、greeting in western countries.Important points: A new way of greetings and the description words about the weather.Difficult points: Hows the weather? Its raining/windy/cloudy/sunny/snowing/. Hows it going? Great! /Not bad! /Terrible! /Pretty good!.Teaching procedures Step1. Lead-inFirstly, show the

6、 learning objectives of this section to Ss. Let Ss read them silently.Raise a question “Do you know Noahs Ark?” . If some students know this story, and let them put up their hands. Most of them have not heard this story before. Then the teacher will begin to introduce this story to them. T: Lets tra

7、vel to the ancient time. Then present a picture of Noahs Ark to attract students interest. T: Here is the story. Long long ago, people did many bad things. The God wanted to punish them by rain and flood. Father Noah, a good man saved his family and lots of animals by the ark.3. Then show Ss the vid

8、eo of this story.4. After watching this video, raise two questions to SS, “Hows the weather in this story”and “ Do you know other types of weather” .Step 2: Look and Say SS six pictures, and these pictures are types of weather. Lead SS to say the new words of “Sunny, cloudy, rainy, snowy, windy and

9、icy” .2. Let Ss observe the change from a noun to an adjective about the weather words.3. Show SS how to describe the weather by using the present progressive tense.4. Let Ss observe the change from a verb to a present participle.5. Show the key sentence pattern of this lesson “Hows the weather? ” .

10、 Ss should answer like this “ Its sunny” or “Its shining now.”6. Show another picture with rain and let Ss do the practice by using the sentence pattern.Step 3: Work on 1aStep 4: Work on 1b ListeningPre-reading Present the city names in 1b and let Ss learn about these cities in advance.Play the reco

11、rding Check the answers together.Present the listening materials of 1b and let Ss fill in the blanks.Step 5: Work on 1c Pair work Let Ss practice the sentence patterns as follws: Hows the weather in Beijing? Its sunny. Hows the weather in Shanghai? Its cloudy.Step 6: Do a weather report Show SS an e

12、xample of a weather report and ask them to observe the parts that a weather report should include. Then show them a video of a real weather report on TV. After watching this video, ask Ss what other aspects are mentioned in the weather report. Then present a weather report should include these parts: weather, temperature, humidity and the air quality. Finally, give Ss a picture of weather forecast and let them work in pairs to give a correct weather report. If a group can speak loudly and correctly, the group members can get 3points.Step 7:HomeworkReview the words about w
