Corticosteroids, despite their si

Intensive research has been directed at finding a safe and effective alternative to corticosteroids, particularly for use in resistant Crohns disease and the maintenance of remission. Immunosuppressive drugs such as azathioprine and its active m

6、etabolite, 6-mercaptopurine, have been used extensively in these clinical settings but their efficacy has yet to be proved unequivocally in controlled trials.
