According to the New Curriculum Standard, the teaching objects are divided into 3 parts:Firstly, knowledge and skill aims: Ss can listen, read and spell the phoneti

4、c symbol ei and the new words of cat, cake, dad, date, hat, hate, face, name and make.Secondly, process and method aims: Guide the students to take part in the group activities and the drilling of the capacity of using brains, hands and mouth. Thirdly, emotional and attitude aims: Encourage the stud

5、ents to take part in the classroom activities proactively, speak English loudly and confidently and imitate actively.Based on analysis of teaching material, the key points of this lesson are to help students to listen, read and spell the phonetic symbol ei and the new words of cat, cake, dad, date,

6、hat,hate, face, name and make. The difficult point is to help the students to summarize and master the pronunciation rules of the vowel “a”. Students in grade 4 have the basic knowledge of English and the ability of listening, speaking, reading and writing; and the ability of cooperation, independen

Meanwhile, they like to express their opinion and they have strong interest in English study.According to the teaching aims and the students physical and psychological characteristics, making sure the students take part in class, ask and answer in pairs and groups.
