授課教師:高彥平 授課班級:高一(224)班 授課時間2015年10月11日Unit 4 EarthquakeA night the earth didnt sleep (Reading)課題Unit 4 EarthquakeA night the earth didnt sleep (Reading)教材分析普通高中新課程標準實驗教科書英語必修一涵蓋了友誼、世界英語、旅游日志、地震和納爾遜曼德拉一位現(xiàn)代英雄,而Earthquake是本冊書第4個單元,本單元以“地震”為中心話題,通過單元教學讓學生了解地震給人們造成的傷害和損失,引導學生關注地震,促使學生養(yǎng)成善于觀察的習慣和地震時自我保護的意識。本節(jié)課是該單元的第二課時Reading 部分,要處理A night the earth didnt sleep和Comprehending 部分。講述1976唐山大地震前發(fā)生奇怪的現(xiàn)象,地震給人們帶來的傷害和損失,以及震后的援救工作等,讓學生理解善于觀察地震前兆及震中自我保護的重要性。教學目標 Teaching goals:Knowledge aims:1. Show a short video of Tangshan earthquake and some pictures Step1. Enjoy part of film of earthquake and some pictures to know what diaster an earthquake would cause.The buildings fall down; roads might crack; many people are killed or injured; the city lies in ruins以 唐山大地震影片中地震的瞬間片段導入,讓學生感受地震的破壞力,充分激發(fā)學生對課文的求知欲并調動了學生學習興趣;之后用圖片展示地震給我們帶來的損失,并學習有關生詞,降低學習難度。Step2. Rre-reading (3 min)Use PPt to show some picturesStep2.Look at the pictures on the screen and discuss what will happen before an earthquake The water in the wells rises and falls. And some deep cracks can be seen in the well walls. A smelly gas comes out the cracks. Mice run out of the fields looking for places to hide.Fish jump out of bows and ponds.Pigs and even cows are too nervous to eat.The dog is barking loudly again and again. At 3:42 am, the greatest earthquake of the 20th century began.2. Steam burst from holes in the ground.3. Hard hills of the rock became rivers of dirt.4. Bricks covered the ground like red autumn leaves.5. Two dams and most of the bridges fell.6. The railway tracks were now useless pieces of steel.7. Sand now filled the wells instead of water.8.
