Chapter One第一章老三里屯:九十年代北京夜生活的象征Sanlitun: The icon of Beijing nightlife in the 90s老三里屯的名氣源自那條聞名海內(nèi)外的三里屯酒吧街,在這條不足300米的街上分布著70多個酒吧, “男孩女孩”、“逗號”、“簡單日子”、“地平線”等,還有像“為人民服務(wù)”、“一坐一忘云貴菜”這樣的餐廳。The fame of Sanlitun originates from its “Bar Street”, which is renowned both at home and abroad. The street, though shorter than 300 meters long, is lined with over 70 bars, featuring such names as “Boys and Girls”, “Comma Bar”, “Easy Day,” and “Skyline.” There are also plenty of restaurants there, such as “Serve the People” and “In & Out.” 每天下午到次日凌晨,人們會成群結(jié)隊涌向三里屯酒吧街,全是因為它的鼎鼎大名,有的外國使館干脆將門前的門牌號碼由三里屯路改為“三里屯酒吧街”。From afternoon till early morning, bands of people swarm Bar Street. It is a place where the dynamism of the city borders on the serenity of a village, as illustrated by its bars which adjoin embassies. It is a compact city, not only in the sense of scale, but in the allure of its neighborhoodliness. The dynamic downtown and quiet suburbs were disconnected, only to be bridged by automobiles an American style of urban development, which bankrupted peoples quality of life. Today, people appreciate most the neighborhoods where they can enjoy both tranquility and vitality at the same places like New Yorks SOHO and Tokyos Aoyama. The discovery they offer is that architecture is in fact landscape is in fact Nature despite the notion of its being inherently confrontational to it. They describe the towers as standing shoulder to shoulder, organically, as if forming a futuristic Grand Canyon. 在這個大峽谷中,本來應(yīng)該是塔樓,具有陽剛之氣的超高層建筑一下子變?yōu)樯焦?,突然間變成了陰柔的女性。在這里建筑師運用本是市中心象征的超高層建筑反過來創(chuàng)造一個自然-新的自然,從而形成一種逆轉(zhuǎn)。如果運用這種逆轉(zhuǎn)的技術(shù),那么原本是市中心的區(qū)域反過來成為自然,這樣,“市中心VS自然”這種陳舊的二項式對立或許將會完全融解掉。這種融解,不正是三里屯式的事件、21世紀(jì)式的事件嗎?九幢有機結(jié)合的摩天大樓,即將把我們帶到從未去過的地方,展現(xiàn)給我們從未見過的風(fēng)景。In this canyon, we envision the sudden metamorphosis of those towering, masculine structures into valleys of feminine tenderness. The architects appropriate the form of the skyscraper the symbol of the urban center to create a new revisionist version of Nature. Through the techniques of reversal, they dissolve the hackneyed dichotomy between City and Nature. It is this fusion which is truly indicative of an event appropriate for the Sanlitun district and the 21st Century. The organic integration of Sanlitun SOHOs nine skyscrapers takes us to a new place and offers a view never before seen. 3) 三里屯SOHO的山谷、交通干道和中心3) The Valley, the Main Street, the Center of Sanlitun SOHO貫通南北的下沉步行街正是建筑群景觀中的一個山谷,其中心部分小河潺潺,成為人們穿行的場所。水賦予山谷生命,像北京這樣干燥的城市尤其離不開水。Within the landscape shaped by the assembly of buildings, a valley comes into being.This valley is a sunken pedestrian street which runs from north to south. A babbling brook converges in the middle, forming a gathering place for passers-by. Water, indispensable to Beijing due to its dry climate, endows the valley with life. 夜間,猶如燈籠一般閃亮的家具,如螢火蟲成群結(jié)隊般發(fā)光的二極管引導(dǎo)著人們走進這片鬧市。這個山谷給三里屯這片郁郁蔥蔥的土地以滋養(yǎng),這里將會成為人們新的休憩之所。 Furnishings will be provided that give off light similar to paper-covered lamps at night, and LEDs embedded into the pavement will guide people like a swarm of fireflies. By creating an abundance of greenery, this valley will create a soothing ambience, making it a new haven for people to gather and relax.4)外觀-天然的質(zhì)感4) Faade The Texture of Nature 覆蓋森林的樹木,延伸為大海的水面、沙漠的沙粒-在一個素材、一個質(zhì)感的無限延伸當(dāng)中,有豐富的變化性與多樣性。這就是自然界的特征和魅力。雖說各種自然特征是通過重復(fù)而實現(xiàn)的,但是置身其中卻不覺乏味,這是什么緣故呢?因為它巧妙地接受了日光和風(fēng)、炎熱、寒冷等環(huán)境的力量,從而呈現(xiàn)出了多樣的表情。The trees covering a forest, the surface of water extending into a sea, the sands of a desert the extension of what seems to be infinite brings with it rich modulation and diversity. This is something that is characteristic of the natural world, and represents its charm. Though the same elements duplicate themselves, just why is it that one does not feel them to be mundane when placed in their midst?
