在具體的某一時(shí)刻或者某些固定搭配中使用。如:at7:25在七點(diǎn)二十五分;atnoon在中午;atmidnight在午夜。(2)somethingterrible一件可怕的事情。當(dāng)形容詞用來(lái)修飾復(fù)合不定代詞時(shí)要放在代詞的后面。其中terrible是形容詞,意為“可怕的,非常嚴(yán)重的”。其副詞為terribly(極其,可怕地)。如:Howterriblethestormis!這場(chǎng)風(fēng)暴真是太可怕了!3.JasonGlenandhisfamilylosteverythinginabighousefire.(1)lost是動(dòng)詞lose的過(guò)去式,意為“失去,丟失”。它通常指因?yàn)槭鹿?、不幸、過(guò)失等失去某人或者某物。lost還可作形容詞,意為“丟失的;迷失的”。常用短語(yǔ):loseheart灰心,失去信心;loseone'slife失去某人的生命;loseweight減肥;belostin陷入……,被……吸引??;be/getlost=loseone'sway/loseoneself迷路。如:Whendidyouloseyourpen?你什么時(shí)候把你的鋼筆弄丟的?(2)fire是名詞,意為“火,火災(zāi)”。當(dāng)其表示“火災(zāi)”時(shí),是可數(shù)名詞;表示“火”時(shí),是不可數(shù)名詞。常用短語(yǔ):beonfire著火(表狀態(tài));catchfire著火(表動(dòng)作);playwithfire玩火;startafire引起火災(zāi),生火;putoutfire滅火。如:It'sdangeroustoplaywithfire.玩火很危險(xiǎn)。4.Jason,don'tbeafraid.don'tbeafraid是一個(gè)否定祈使句。它是在以動(dòng)詞原形開(kāi)頭的肯定祈使句前面加上don't構(gòu)成。有時(shí)為了表示禮貌,可以在句首或者句末加上please。如:Comein.進(jìn)來(lái)。→Don'tcomein.別進(jìn)來(lái)。其他否定祈使句結(jié)構(gòu):No+名詞/動(dòng)名詞!如:Noparking!禁止停車(chē)!Letsbdosth!如:Let'sgoshopping!我們?nèi)ベ?gòu)物吧!5.Sotheycameupwithaplan.comeupwith想出,提出(主意、辦法、想法等),相當(dāng)于thinkup。如:It'sdifficultforthemtocomeupwithanewwayinsuchashorttime.他們很難在這么短的時(shí)間內(nèi)想出新的辦法?!緦W(xué)以致用】
Idon’tknowwhattodo.Canyou________(想出)agoodidea?comeupwith/thinkup6.Theschoolhadacarwashandacookiesale.(1)hadacarwash意為“洗車(chē)”。這里的car作定語(yǔ)修飾名詞wash。當(dāng)名詞作定語(yǔ)修飾名詞時(shí),主要用來(lái)表示材料、類(lèi)別、用途等。作定語(yǔ)的名詞多用單數(shù),但是特殊情況下要用復(fù)數(shù),如sports、clothes等。如:Asportsmeetisholdinginourschool.我校正在舉辦校運(yùn)會(huì)。(2)sale是名詞,意為“出售,銷(xiāo)售”。其動(dòng)詞為sell(賣(mài))。常用短語(yǔ):onsale出售,廉價(jià)出售;forsale出售,待售;abigsale大甩賣(mài)。如:Thiskindofscarfisnotforsale.這種圍巾不出售。7.Injustthreedays,theschoolraised
