從功能翻譯理論看電視軟新聞的英譯Withtherapiddevelopmentofinformationtechnology,thetranslationofTVsoftwarenewshasbecomeanimportantissue.IntheprocessoftranslatingTVsoftwarenews,itisnecessarytoconsidernotonlythelinguisticdifferencesbetweenthesourcelanguageandthetargetlanguage,butalsothefunctionalrequirementsofTVnewsitself.Therefore,thisarticlewillanalyzethetranslationofTVsoftwarenewsfromtheperspectiveoffunctionaltranslationtheory.Functionaltranslationtheoryholdsthattranslationisnotjustalinguistictransfer,butmoreimportantlyacommunicationactivity.Therefore,thepurposeoftranslationistoachievethesamecommunicativeeffectinthetargetlanguageasinthesourcelanguage.Accordingtothistheory,thetranslationofTVsoftwarenewsshouldtakeintoaccountthecommunicativefunctionofthenewsitself,whichincludes:1.Informationdisseminationfunction:TVnewsisatoolforspreadinginformation,anditstranslationshouldaccuratelyconveytheinformationcontainedinthesourcelanguagenewstothetargetaudience.Thetranslatorshouldstrivetoensurethatthetranslatednewsconveysthesameinformationastheoriginalnews,whiletakingintoaccountthecultural,socialandlinguisticdifferencesbetweenthesourceandtargetlanguages.2.Emotionalfunction:TVnewshasacertainemotionalimpactontheaudience.Thetranslationshouldstrivetomaintaintheemotionaltoneofthesourcelanguagenews,andconveythesameemotionstothetargetaudience.Thisisparticularlyimportantfornewswithastrongemotionalcontent,suchasdisastersorhuman-intereststories.3.Persuasivefunction:TVnewsisoftenusedtopersuadetheaudiencetotakeacertainactionorholdacertainview.Thetranslatorshouldpayattentiontothepersuasivepowerofthesourcelanguagenews,andstrivetoachievethesamepersuasiveeffectinthetargetlanguage.Basedontheabovefunctionalrequirements,thefollowingstrategiescanbeusedinthetranslationofTVsoftwarenews:1.Accuratetranslationofkeyinformation:Inordertoensurethatthetranslatednewsaccuratelyconveysthesameinformationastheoriginalnews,thetranslatorshouldfocusonthekeyinformationinthesourcelanguagenews,andtranslateitaccuratelyintothetargetlanguage.2.Matchingtheemotionaltoneofthesourcelanguagenews:Inordertomaintaintheemotionalimpactofthenews,thetranslatorshouldpayattentiontotheemotionaltoneofthesourcelanguagenews,anduselanguagethatconveysthesameemotionsinthetargetlanguage.3.Payingattentiontoculturalandsocialdifferences:SinceTVnewsisoftencloselyrelatedtotheculturalandsocialbackgroundofthesourcelanguageaudience,thetranslatorshouldpayattentiontothesedifferencesanduseappropriatelanguagetoconveythesamemessageinthetargetlanguage.4.Usingpersuasivelanguage:InordertoachievethepersuasivefunctionofTVnews,thetranslatorshouldpayattentiontothepersuasivepowerofthesourcelanguagenews,anduselanguagethathasthesamepersuasiveeffectinthetargetlanguage.Inconclusion,thetranslationofTVsoftwarenewsisnotjustamatteroflinguistictransfer,butalsoacommunicationactivitythatrequiresconsiderationofthefunctionalrequirementsofthenewsitself.There
