二樓的執(zhí)著OBSESSIONSFROMTHESECOND 策展人李?yuàn)檴欀罗oIntroductionbyLi 在北極圈 IwenttotheNorthPoletoSee 影像作品 ART 策展人致IntroductionbyHenning極地光影來自北方的故特羅姆瑟國際節(jié)榮幸地宣布,作為“極地光影”放映活動(dòng)的特羅姆瑟國際節(jié)是北極最大的節(jié),世界各地的通過這個(gè)出發(fā)全世界。這里,中國觀眾在“極地光影”這個(gè)放映中看到放映出自極地地區(qū)的短片和片。是要同。我們節(jié)堅(jiān)信是可以遠(yuǎn)離它的出生地,帶著同他人的目的走得很遠(yuǎn)。做為節(jié),我們想帶給觀眾的不是僅限于的體驗(yàn),我們的使命也包括給觀眾一點(diǎn),讓觀眾得到一種出自創(chuàng)造者內(nèi)心力的影片傳遞的體驗(yàn),通過大銀幕走進(jìn)一些不那么尋常的故事和人物的生活,體會(huì)他們的喜怒哀樂。當(dāng)觀眾勇于接受這樣的,了一些主流之外的思維和故事,也就是在這個(gè)時(shí)候,觀影的收益才會(huì)更大。就在著筆寫這篇文章的時(shí)候,我剛剛從另外一個(gè)規(guī)模大得多的節(jié)回來,那就是法國戛納節(jié)。在這樣一個(gè)世界級(jí)重要的節(jié)上匯集的是來自全世界的,從法國、意大利到阿根廷,土耳其和中國(有了不起的賈樟柯導(dǎo)演,確實(shí)不止是一種全球現(xiàn)象,它更是一種全球語言,它走進(jìn)世界各地的人們的內(nèi)心,把不同地域的人們普遍的生存狀況用講述,再將它們帶到世界的任何一個(gè)角落,放映給那里的觀眾?,F(xiàn)在讓我來告訴你一些北方的故事。特羅姆瑟位于北緯9度的北極圈以北,每年1月,在特羅姆瑟國際節(jié)舉行的日子里,北極的太陽已經(jīng)在地平線下了兩個(gè)月了,北方漫長的冬天特有的極夜現(xiàn)象正在進(jìn)入尾聲。與極夜對(duì)立的另外一面是,每年夏天我們會(huì)有兩個(gè)多這種獨(dú)特的季節(jié)變幻,漫漫長夜的冬天,緩緩日照的夏天正是這些來自北方的生。地政上這土被做巴海區(qū),北角的科拉。這片廣裘的土地上居住著不同語言不同民族的多國人民,但又一起著許多同性:這里都是每個(gè)國家最遙遠(yuǎn)的北方,人口稀少,遠(yuǎn)離首都和大城市;這里資源豐富,歷史上向來都是貿(mào)易和貨物的集散地;不同民族的人們?cè)诟鱾€(gè)國家的邊境線上居住和遷徙,共同生今天,很大程度上他們依舊保持著自己的語言和傳統(tǒng)生活方式。通過這些來自北方的影片,我希望能感受到這片土地上的多樣性和將我們聯(lián)系在一起的共同的根。在這里,請(qǐng)?jiān)试S我代表特羅姆瑟國際節(jié),對(duì)主辦這次活動(dòng)的中國合作方,我們的聯(lián)合策展人李?yuàn)檴櫤捅硎靖兄x。的努力讓這些來自北方極地的影片的大城市得到展示,這會(huì)是旅行的開始對(duì)地球上的這樣一個(gè)特殊角落有所了解。已經(jīng)啟航,希望它們特羅姆瑟國際節(jié)2015628挪威特羅姆
寒寧·羅森寒寧·羅森倫德為現(xiàn)任特羅姆瑟國際節(jié)。特羅姆瑟國際節(jié)是斯堪的納維亞最重要的節(jié)之一,也是挪威最大的節(jié)。寒寧從2008年起為該節(jié)工作,前后多個(gè)職位,包括展映短片與紀(jì)錄片的“來自北方的故事”單元。寒寧擁有挪威科技大學(xué)制作學(xué)位。他同時(shí)也是一名自由電影人,短片導(dǎo)演。BeyondFrozenStoriesfromtheOnbehalfofTroms?InternationalFilmFestival,itisagreathonourtobeabletopresenttheprogramBEYONDFROZENPOINT-STORIESFROMTHENORTHtoaudiencesinChina.Troms?InternationalFilmFestivalisoneofthebiggestfilmfestivalsinScandinavia,andworksbothtopresentworldcinematoourregionalaudience,butalsotobringregionalfilmstoriesouttotheworld.Inourrecurringsidebar“FifromtheNorth”,wepresentshortandaryfifromourregion.ThefiofferedtoyouareallfromtheFifromtheNorthsidebar.Ourfestivalworksfromastrongbeliefintheimportanceofsharingstoriesfromallovertheworld.Webelieveinthecommonexperienceofcinema,andthatart,andparticularlyfi,cantravelfarfromitsbirthplace.Weoftenthinkofourmissionastochallengeouraudience.Meaningtopresentfithatmakethemexperiencesomethingunusualororiginal.Cinemaisamediumwellpositionedtodothis.Characterscomealiveonthebigscreen,andthroughtheiractions,wegettoknowthem.Withcinema,youcanexperiencethestories,thereasonsandemotionsofpeopleyouhavenevermetbefore.Weusuallyfindthatwhentheaudienceiswillingtolookalittlebitoutsidethemainstream,therewardwillberich.WritingthisIhavejustreturnedfromanother(andmuchlarger)filmfestival,namelytheoneinCannes,andagainbeenremindedofhowtrulyglobalcinemacanbeatitsbest.IsawnewfifromArgentina,China(thegreatJiaZhang-Ke),France,Hungary,Italy,JapanandTurkey,amongstothers.Itremindedmethatfilmisnotonlyaglobaloutput,butalsoaworkinggloballanguage,makingthehumanconditionfromdifferentpartsoftheworldvisibleforeveryonewhowantstosee.Withthisinmind,letusturntotheprogramathand:BEYONDFROZENPOINT–STORIESFROMTHENORTH.Thetitlesdoesnotlie,butitdoesnotlthewholetrutheither.Tobesure,thecityofTroms?liesabovetheArcticCircle,onthe69thlatitude.Evenmore,ourfestivaltakesplaceeachyearinJanuary,justattheendofthepolarnightwhenthesunhasbeengonebeyondthehorizonfortwomonths.Theflipsideisofcoursethatwealsoexperiencetwomonthsofmidnightsunduringamild,butnotfreezing,summer.Thechangingseasons,thefrozenwintersandthegentlesummers,thecoolNordiclightthroughout–theyareallpresentinthefiHenningHenningRosenlundisthecurrentDeputyProgramDirectoroftheTroms?InternationalFilmFestival,oneofthemostimportantfilmvenuesofScandinaviaandthelargestofitskindinNorway.Hehasbeenworkingforthefestivalsince2008invariouspositions,includingasHeadofthesidebarforshortfiandaries,“FifromtheNorth”.HenningholdsaMasterofMediaProductiondegreefromtheNorwegianUniversityofScienceandTechnology.Hehasalsoworkedasafreelancefilmmakeranddirectedshortfi.
presentedhere.AllfiarefromwhatwecalltheBarentsRegion,ormoreloosely“TheHighNorth”.ThisisanArctic/Sub-ArcticregionspanningfromNorthernNorwayviatheNorthernpartsofSwedenandFinland,andincludingtheEast-NorthernpartsofRussia.Eventhoughthisregionspansdifferentnationswith(very)differentlanguages,italsohassomesimilarities.Theclimateisonething,butforourpurpose,therearealsosomeculturalaspectsofimportance.Thesearethenorthernmostpartsofeachcountry,farremovedfromitscapitalsandrelativelysparselypopulated.Still,itisaregionrichonresourcesandithastraditionallyseenacertainleveloftradeandexchange,withdifferentpopulationgroupslivingtogetherandcrossingthenationalborders.Throughouttheregion,youwillfindtheindigenouspeopleofeachnation,respectivelytheSámipeopleinScandinaviaandtheNenetsofRussia,whotoavariousdegreemaintainstheirlanguageandtraditionalwayoflife.Inthefilmprogramspresentedhere,wehopeyouwillbeabletoseethevarietiesoftheregion,aswellasthetraitsbindingustogether.OnbehalfofTroms?InternationalFilmFestival,IwouldliketoexpressoursincerethankstoourChinesepartners,organizersandco-curators:LiShanshanandKaimeiWang.LiShanshancontactedusinTroms?atourrecentfestivalandgaveusthisgreatopportunitytopresentfifromourregioninsomeofChina’sbiggestcities.Itwasthestartofagreatjourney.Wehopethesefourfilmprograms,andtheartexhibitionthat paniesthem,willgiveyouastrongimpressionaboutaparticularcornerofthisworld–andthatthefiwilltravelsafelyandfindaplacewithinyou.HenningDeputyProgramDirectorTroms?InternationalFilmFestival28th,June2015atTroms?,策展人致IntroductionbyKaimei冰封之地,靈動(dòng)影北方,極地…北緯60度以北的地球表面聚合著北半球人跡罕至的廣裘土地,常年不化的積雪凍土和世世代活在這里的原住民:薩米人、涅涅茨人、鄂溫克人…這里遠(yuǎn)離世界金融的中心,卻又是全球地理政治的敏感地區(qū);這里儲(chǔ)蓄著資源,蘊(yùn)涵著,挾裹著,暗藏著沖。無論是地球溫室效應(yīng)對(duì)北極冰層的,還是全球化在疆域爭端的世界政治中的推進(jìn),關(guān)于北極的討論是牽動(dòng)地球共同未來的熱點(diǎn)話題。嚴(yán)酷的生存環(huán)境塑造著這里的人們特殊的心理性格,沉默寡語,粗獷豪爽、幽默尖刻。社會(huì)性牽連著地域性,地方性相遇國際性,當(dāng)代社會(huì)里的各種,即使在極地也無可逃避。中年人的,青年人的好奇,傳統(tǒng)文化面對(duì)冰封的土地不停息地涌動(dòng)著令人著迷的畫面,和冰層下豐富的地理資源一樣是生活在這里的藝術(shù)家們創(chuàng)作靈感的來源。聯(lián)地響的特國際極光自的”展示的是17部來自北極的創(chuàng)作的短片,它們分別來自瑞典、芬蘭、挪威、丹麥的格陵蘭島和俄羅斯五國。北方的人文地理是這些影片共同的背景,壯美的極地風(fēng)光是它們共同的發(fā)生地,而牽連著北方人的歷史和現(xiàn)在的生活狀態(tài)就是這些影片講述的故事在北歐,大自然總是在人們觸手可及的周邊,自然與人的和諧相處是北歐人融于血液中的天性,可以說,北歐福利社會(huì)的物質(zhì)和精神支柱都是建立在與大自然朝夕相處的親密關(guān)系中的。想北歐的文化名人,從斯特林堡到易卜生,從蒙克到西貝柳斯,他們的藝術(shù)作品中深沉憂郁的氣質(zhì),靈光閃動(dòng)的魔力傳遞出撲面而來的北方森的氣息。這是一片孕育童話和制造詩意的森林,復(fù)雜的歷史淵源在每一片看似平靜的湖水下蘊(yùn)藏著的都是盤根錯(cuò)節(jié)的過去與現(xiàn)在。文學(xué)獎(jiǎng)得主,瑞典詩人特朗斯特羅姆的詩:B《論歷史》特朗斯特羅姆詩歌全集,翻譯李笠,文藝,2012特朗斯特羅姆的詩交給我們一把打開北歐人心懷的,正如這里的電影為我們帶來極地北方的故事。這是國內(nèi)第一次以“北方極地”的概念舉行的放映活動(dòng),一個(gè)少有的在大銀幕上欣賞地球上這個(gè)特殊角落的壯觀風(fēng)景,了解這里的北方人的獨(dú)特機(jī)會(huì)。影片放映分為四個(gè)從不同的角度帶我們走進(jìn)這里的風(fēng)景和人文。尤其是“薩米聲音”作品全部出自北極地區(qū)的薩米青年藝術(shù)家之手,他們以同世界同步的眼光審視自己的文化根源,用音樂和 歷史和傳統(tǒng)在當(dāng)代社會(huì)的色。再把目光轉(zhuǎn)向高緯度的亞洲,中國的北方也生活著以飼養(yǎng)馴鹿為生的民族和黑山白水的東北凍土。居住在內(nèi)的鄂溫克人同北極的薩米人一樣,也著保留和發(fā)展的;中國東北人的黑色幽默成了地域?qū)θ诵缘膭澏?,而性格的形成又無不牽連著自然的塑造。的傳統(tǒng)文化中,自然是仕途文人隱居和重生的樂園,他們?cè)诖笞匀恢行奚眇B(yǎng)性,抒發(fā)詩人情懷,風(fēng)景是這種情懷的投射,是慰籍心靈的良藥。但當(dāng)自然成為一種嚴(yán)酷的生存背景,一種考驗(yàn)意志的極限體驗(yàn)的時(shí)候,自然又開啟了人生意義的思考。從北方做為地理和文化的概念出發(fā),我們選擇了四部中國影片,對(duì)寒冷地域的特殊人文地理再做來自中國角度的解讀。最后,一個(gè)特別放映項(xiàng)目將帶來瑞典大師羅伊·安德森執(zhí)導(dǎo)的上屆節(jié)金獅獎(jiǎng)獲獎(jiǎng)影片《寒枝雀靜》,這部北歐式的緩慢精致充滿幽默與人性的影片將我們關(guān)于地域與人性的探究推向一場(chǎng)關(guān)于存在意義的哲學(xué)思考。觀影首先是一個(gè)身體的參與活動(dòng)和頭腦在中被銀幕上的畫面激發(fā)想像的感知過程。每年1月,當(dāng)北極圈內(nèi)的凍土完全被黑夜籠罩,天空只有被飄忽不定的北照亮的時(shí)候,在歐洲最北的城市,特羅姆瑟國際節(jié)就開幕了,窗外是極地雪景,屋內(nèi)卻溫暖如春,關(guān)上燈在中這是藝術(shù)的所在。這個(gè)夏天,當(dāng)中國各地還在被酷暑的時(shí)候,我們給大家?guī)砹吮狈蕉盏膰?yán)酷寒冷,極地夏日的神奇日出,純凈的空氣,寧靜的自然,獨(dú)具個(gè)性的北方人的生活片段讓我們看到別人也看到自己。所有這一切,當(dāng)它們通過光影的變幻展現(xiàn)出來的時(shí)候,就是我們打開大腦,走進(jìn)北極的藝術(shù)歷程開啟的時(shí)刻了。“極地光影”策展20156月28

駐北。擁有蘇富比藝術(shù)學(xué)院當(dāng)代藝術(shù)理論學(xué)位,現(xiàn)為一名獨(dú)立藝術(shù)評(píng)論人和策展人,國內(nèi)外諸多重要藝術(shù)雜志的撰稿人。被提名2014年評(píng)論獎(jiǎng),2015年藝術(shù)登陸新加坡藝FrozenLand,MovingStoriesfromtheTheNorthPoleRegion,withitsmassivelandandarcticicecapabovetheNorthArcticCircleisoneofthecoldestplacesontheearth.Thelandisfrozenallyearround,andthehighlatitudemakesfor24-hoursdaysinsummerandlong,darknightsinwinter.Inrecentyearshumanactivitieshaveincreasedrapidlyinthechasefornaturalresourcesandnewterritories.Meanwhile,thethreatofglobalwarmingandclimatechangehascreatednewdisputeswithininternationalpolitics.Despiteitsseemingdistancetotheworld’sfinancialcenter,theregionnorthofthe60degreelatitudeisahotspotthatevokesquestionsconcerningourcommonTheNorthPoleRegionisthehomeofpolarindigenoussettlements,suchastheSamiinScandinaviaandtheNenetsinRussia.Theharshnatureofthepolarregionshapestheuniquecharactersofthesepeople.Theirquietnessandroughnessgohandinhandwiththeirkindnessandopenness.Intheglobalworldtoday,evenatthisveryspecialcorneroftheearthinhabitantsinevitablysharemanyexperienceswiththerestoftheworld.Hereiswherethelocalmeetstheglobalandthetraditionalmeetsthemodern.Thepreservationofindigenousculture,protectionismagainstoutsiders,andthepricestobepaidforenvironmentandwealth-gainingaresomeveryurgentissuesforthePolarRegion.Naturally,thesearealsosourcesofinspirationforartistsandcreativemindslivinghere.IncollaborationwiththeTroms?InternationalFilmFestival,wearepleasedtopresenttoChineseaudiencesBeyondFrozenPoint:StoriesfromtheNorth,afilmscreeningprogramme.Wewillshow16shortandaryfi,allfreshlymadebyartistsfromSweden,Finland,Norway,GreenlandinDenmarkandRussia.Thecommonrootofthesefiisthebreath-takingpolarnature,andthenarrativesareallaboutpeoplelivingthere.NaturehasalwaysplayedanimportantroleinNordicsocieties.Theextremeharshlivingconditionshavetaughtthelocalstocoexistwiththerhythmsofnaturesinceancienttimes.ItisfromthissharedtraditionofrespectpaidtonaturethattheNordiccountriesbecamewhattheyareintheworldtoday.NatureisthesiteofNordicwelfaresocietiesandtheirsharedculturalheritage.NatureiswheretheNorthernpeopleregainenergyandfindinspiration.Wecanexperiencecloseconnectionswithnatureinart,inliterature,inmusicandinficomingfromtheNordiccountries.AugustStringberg,HenricIbsen,EdwardMunch,andJeanSibeliusarejustafewrepresentativesofthislegacy.NatureformsitsownnarrativethatisalwayslinkedwithNordiclegends,mythologyandacomplexhistory.Underneaththeprofoundtranquilityofthedarkforestanddeepwater,nothingisassimpleasitlooks.AsthewinnerofNobelPrizeforliteratureTomasTranstromerwrote:“OneMarchdayIwalkeddowntothelakeshoretolistenTheicewasblueasthesky.AndbreakingupinthesunThesunwhispersintoamicrophoneundertheice.There’saseethingandburbling.FaroutitsoundslikeasheetbeingsnappedThewholethingislikeHistory:ourpresent.Weareloweredintoit,welisten.”BThisinsightfulreflectiononnatureandhistoryprovidesuswithonekeytoenterintothepsychologicalworldsoftheNordicpeople.Thisisalsowhatthefi hereshownseektooffer.ForthefirsttimeinChina,BOnHistory,TomasTranstromer,TheHalf-FinishedHeaven,translatedbyRobertBly,GraywolfPress,afilmeventdedicatedentirelytothefifromtheveryspecialcorneroftheNorthPolarRegionispresented.ThisisarareopportunityfortheChineseaudiencetoexperiencethemagnificentnatureofthePolarRegiononthebigscreenandtogettoknowthepeoplelivingtherethroughfilm.Thefilmscreeningisdividedinto4sections:Seasons,StrangeNorth,PeopleandSamiVoice,eachgivingadifferententrancetotheNorthanditspeople.ThefifromtheSamiVoicesectionaremadebyfilmmakerswithSamiorigins.Itisappealingtoseehowtheseyoungpeoplereflecttheirindigenoushistoryandtraditioninthecontemporarysocietythroughmusicandfi.Meanwhileaswemoveoursighttowardstheeast,onasimilarlyhighlatitude,weseethefrozenlandsofNorthernChina.MinoritiessuchastheEwenkisliveinthenortheasternforest,subsistingbyreindeerherding.MuchliketheSamisoftheNorthPole,theytoofaceproblemswiththepreservationoftheircultureinthenewera.HarshnaturehasgiventheNorthernpeopleaspecialsenseofhumorandsurvivalskills,allverymuchlinkedwiththefrozenlandtheycomefrom.IntraditionalChineseculture,natureisanarcadiadesignedfordespairingscholarstoretreatto,andtorevive.Inartisticexpression,natureisametaphorforconsolationandrehabilitation.ThesearethestartingpointsofthefourChinesefiwechosetopresenthereasaresponsetotheStoriesfromtheNorth.identityandinterrogationofthemeaningoflife.TheSwedishdirectorRoyAndersonheredeliversaslow-pacedhumanisticstorybuiltonobservationsoftheabsurdityofordinarylife,expressedinmemorableimages.Toseeafilminthecinemaisaformofphysicalparticipation.Wesitdowninadarkroomwatchinglightschangingonascreen.Butthestoriescomposedbytheselightscanonlymakesensewhenweparticipatewithourmindandimagination.EveryyearinJanuarywhentheNorthPolarRegioniscoveredbywinterdarkness,theTroms?filmfestivalstarts.Insidethewarmcinemasalonsandcomfortablechairs,anotherworldisopenedtotheaudience.Fibringtheaudiencetoplacesfarawayandtimesfarbeyond.Thisisthemagicthatonlyfilmcancreate.WechosetoopenourfilmscreeningonthehottestseasonoftheyearinChinatocreatethecontrastoftheclimateasaphysicalexperience.FeelthecrispymorningfogswitheNordicwoodsinthemidnightsun,thearcticwindblowingfromthenorth,thepureairthatintoxicatesyourbreath,thequietnessofnaturethatsilencesyourmind.Asyouopenyoureyesandexpandyourimagination,youwillstartanartjourneytowardstheNorthPole.DoenjoyalongtheKaimeiOlsson28th,June,2015,
