1、Grammar FocusIf : Subjunctive clause虛擬語(yǔ)氣從句Subjunctive mood 由if引導(dǎo)的表示假設(shè)狀態(tài)的句型,if 引導(dǎo)了一個(gè)狀語(yǔ)從句,與主句聯(lián)合構(gòu)成。共分為四種基礎(chǔ)句型:1.純條件的虛擬語(yǔ)氣2.與現(xiàn)在事實(shí)相反的虛擬語(yǔ)氣3. 與過(guò)去事實(shí)相反的虛擬語(yǔ)氣。4. 與將來(lái)狀況相反的虛擬語(yǔ)氣。1.純條件的虛擬語(yǔ)氣即我們所說(shuō)的“主將從現(xiàn)”句型。If it rains, we will choose to stay at home.If they work hard, they will always win.If the sun rises from the wes
2、t, The earthwill change into another world.2.與現(xiàn)實(shí)事實(shí)相反的虛擬語(yǔ)氣使用格式為:if+主語(yǔ)+一般過(guò)去式 ,主語(yǔ)+would/could/might/should/ought to +V.原形If I were you , I whould tell her the truth.If they were you. They might go that way .If she were fine, she could help you with your work .If there were no planes, we human might spe
3、nd much more time travelling from Northpole to South pole than we expected.特殊句子If I had time, I would write the letter.If I had time, I should write the letter.If I had time, I ought to write the letter.But you cant say :If I had the money, I must help the poor.與過(guò)去事實(shí)相反的虛擬語(yǔ)氣If的從句要用過(guò)去完成時(shí)態(tài)來(lái)寫(xiě),主句則用助動(dòng)詞(wo
4、uld/could/might/should)的過(guò)去式 +have +done的格式來(lái)寫(xiě)。表達(dá)的意思為:與過(guò)去/當(dāng)時(shí)發(fā)生的事情相反的情況。If I had arrived there earlier. I might have rung him up .If the car had driven away a few more minutes earlier. They would have survivedfrom the terrorists attack.If we Chinese had been more power during Qing dynasty. We would hav
5、e never been invaded by the Japanese Nazists.If he had taken your advice, he would haveavoided making thr mistake. 意為:(As he didnt take your advice, he made themistake.)與將來(lái)狀況相反的虛擬語(yǔ)氣if +主語(yǔ)+should+V原形,主語(yǔ)+would/could/might/should+ V原形。表示可能性較低的說(shuō)法:If you should fail me , you could cut off yourhead when y
6、ou come back to see me .萬(wàn)一你失敗了,你就提頭來(lái)見(jiàn)我。If it should rain, I would stay home.特別句型,省略IF的虛擬語(yǔ)氣句型“were to 的用法,表示與常理相悖的句型。Eg. :The pig cant fly.(常理,真理)豬不能飛。If the pig were to fly, We would be faint !如果豬都能飛,那我們會(huì)為此而昏厥。If the sun were to rise in the west, How surprised these sunflowers would be .But for / if onlyBut for(若非,要不是)=without后面接名詞,主句用(would/could/should)have doneBut for the help of Sally, I would have knocked off the lady.Without computer, People could have savedany information on paper.If only(如果,假如)If only 后接一般過(guò)去式或是過(guò)去完成時(shí)的句子。If only she were here,w
