1、一. 重點詞語1. as的用法 prep. (理由) 因為 例如:As it rained,I stayed home. (多用于句首)(比較) asas 同一樣 例如: He is as tall as I (am).(表結(jié)果、程度) 所以,致使 例如: I got up so early as to be in time. He spoke so loudly as to be heard by everyone.書面語雖然但是;同though 注意詞的排序 例如: Young as he was,he works hard.2.in the same wayin the same way
2、 意思為“同樣地,用同樣的方式”,常接在動詞后用作方式狀語。注意:way 和不同的介詞連用,有不同的意思,區(qū)別如下: in the way 就這樣,用這種方式 by the way 順便問一下 on the way 在去路上 例如:He finally worked out the problem in the way. 最后,他就這樣解決了問題。 By the way,how old is your son? 順便問一下,你兒子多大了? 4、要我星期一來?(4)prefer to do rather than do He prefers to write his letters rather than phone them. 他喜歡自己寫信,不愿意給他們打電話。4. neither和either的區(qū)別(1)neither 具有否定性詞義。用作形容詞時,作“兩者均無皆非的”解,后接單數(shù)名詞或代詞;用作代詞時,作“(兩者中)無一個”解,與之搭配的謂語動詞一般用單數(shù)式,間或用復數(shù)式;用作副詞時,作“(兩者中的另一個(也不”解,將其置于句首時,其后的主謂語須倒裝;用作連接詞時,作“也不”解,常與nor連用,構成等立連詞,作“(既)不也不”
5、解,該詞組連接兩個主語時,謂語動詞通常與鄰近的那個主語在人稱和數(shù)方面取得一致。 如:Neither street/Neither of the streets is clean兩條街都不干凈。 Neither Bill nor his parents were at home比爾不在家,他的父母親也不在家。(2)either用作形容詞時,作“(兩者中)任一的/每一方的”解,后接單數(shù)名詞或代詞;用作代詞時,作“(兩者中)任何一個”解,與之搭配的謂語動詞一般用單數(shù)式,間或用復數(shù)式;用作副詞時,置于否定句或否定詞組之后,以加強語氣,作“也”、“而且”解;用作連接詞時,常與or連用,構成等立連詞,作“
6、或者或者”、“不是就是”解。 如:There is a bus-stop on either side of the street 大街的兩旁都有公共汽車站。 She hasn't read this book,and I haven't either 她沒有讀過這本書,我也沒有讀過。 It's either red or green;I can't remember 它不是紅色的,就是綠色的,我記不清楚了。5. alone和lonely的區(qū)別 這兩個詞都有“單獨”、“孤單”的意思,但各自的含義和用法有所不同。(1)alone 可以用作形容詞或副詞,作形容詞時,
7、只能在句子中充當表語或賓語補足語。它用來陳述“單獨一人”、“無其他人”這樣一個事實。 如:You can't do the job alone 這活你一個人干不了。 (2)lonely 只能用作形容詞,在句子中充當表語或定語。指人時,作“孤單的”、“寂寞的”解;指地方時,作“荒涼的”、“人跡稀少的” 解。 如:I live all alone but I don't feel lonely我一直一個人生活,但不感到孤單。The house was in a lonely place那幢房屋位于一個人跡稀少的地區(qū)。6. cross,across和through的區(qū)別(1)cros
8、s 是動詞,指從一邊到另一邊的動作。 如:Be careful when youre crossing the street. 過街的時候要當心。(2)across 是介詞,表示從一邊到另一邊的意思,其含義與on有關,表示動作在物體的表面進行。 如:We ran across the bridge. 我們跑步過橋。 The bookstore is across the street. 書店在街對面。(3)through介詞,也可以表示從一邊到另一邊的意思,但其含義則與in有關,指動作在空間里進行。 如:It took them three hours to walk through the
9、forest. 他們花了三個小時才穿過那片森林。7. hope,wish和expect的區(qū)別 hope 后接to do或從句 wish 后接to do,sb to do, sb/sth+ 名詞 或從句(虛擬) expect 后接to do,sb. to do,或從句 例如: I hope to be happy. I wish you to be happy. I expect you to be happy. I hope that you can come. I expect that you can come. I wish that you could come. I wish you
10、 success.二時態(tài)復習1. 過去進行時 過去進行時表示過去某一時間正在進行的動作。 過去進行時和過去一般時一樣,也常和表過去的時間狀語連用。 表示過去某一時刻正在進行著的動作:例如:What were you doing this time yesterday? 昨天這個時間你在干什么?We were watching TV this time yesterday.昨天這個時間我們在看電視。 表示過去某一階段在進行的動作: 例如:Mary was talking with her friends the whole afternoon yesterday. 瑪麗昨天整個下午一直在與朋友們
11、談話。一般過去時與過去進行時的用法比較:一般過去時表示“在過去某個時間發(fā)生的動作或存在的狀態(tài)”,而過去進行時則表示“在過去某個特定時間正在進行的動作”。 如:Tom wrote a letter to his friend last night. 湯姆昨晚給他的朋友寫了封信。(信寫完了) Tom was writing a letter to his friend last night. 湯姆昨晚一直在給他的朋友寫信。(信不一定寫完,只是強調(diào)了動作的延續(xù)性)。過去進行時和一般過去時的差別:一般過去時表示“在過去某個時間發(fā)生的動作或存在的狀態(tài)”,而過去進行時則表示“在過去某個特定時間正在進行的動
12、作”。 例如:I was reading an English novel last night./are going to + do;will/shall + do. I have lived here for more than thirty years. 我已在此住了30多年。2)亦可用有限動詞表持續(xù)。在當代英語里,有些有限動詞已沖破了上述規(guī)則,在某種情況下也可以與since(自從)或for(經(jīng)歷)引導的詞語連用表“持續(xù)性”。 如: He has visited China for three days. 他在中國進行了三天訪問。4. 過去完成時: 以過去某個時間為標準,在此以前發(fā)生的動
