3、er the technique, the greater is the chance for complications such as altered pigmentation of the skin and scarring. You should discuss during your consultation what you hope to achieve by these techniques in order to determine which technique is best suited to your requirements. Are these methods a

4、lternatives to a Facelift?There are limitations in what can be achieved by these exfoliation techniques and thus they should be considered complimentary to rather than an alternative for a Facelift. It all depends upon your specific skin type and the imperfections you wish to correct.How is Dermabrasion performed?Under local or general anesthesia, a high-speed rotating device is used. Microdermabrasion is performed without any kind of anesthesia since it is painless. It uses a device like a fine sandblaster to spray tiny crystals across the face, mixing gentle

8、abrasion with suction to remove the dead, outer layer of skin. A microdermabrasion session can be performed in less than an hour and results are seen immediately. As with other skin rejuvenation techniques, more than one treatment may be needed to reduce or remove fine wrinkles and unwanted pigmenta

9、tion.How is a Chemical Peel performed?A liquid chemical solution is applied to the face. The face may be left exposed, covered with ointment, or covered with a mask made with layers of adhesive tape with openings for eyes and mouth. The chemical "burns off" the upper layer of skin. This is
