12、兩個句型意思相近,都可以用來表示建議。上句可以改為:Shall we have dinner together next week?我們下星期一起吃晚飯好嗎?9The children followed her into the living room and saw lots of toys there孩子們跟著她來到了客廳,在那兒又看到了許多玩具。fo1low into意為“跟著進入” ,如:The policeman followed the thief into the shop警察跟著小偷進了商店。拓展:living room意為“客廳;起居室” ,也可稱為 sitting room

There was hardly any space for the children to sit down那.里幾乎沒有什么地方可以讓孩子們坐下。hardly any 意為“幾乎沒有”,相當于 almost no。本句可改為:There was almost no room for the children to sit down.又如:There is hardly any coffee left. 咖啡差不多喝完了。 (=There is almost

14、no coffee left.) 這里的 to sit down 是動詞不定式作定語,修飾名詞 space。11. We both like collecting toys. 我們倆都喜歡收藏玩具。both 可以作形容詞、代詞或副詞,意思是“兩個”、“雙方”、“兩個都”。在句中可作主語、賓語或同位語。如:Both are right. 兩者都對。(主語)I like both兩個我都喜歡。(賓語)拓展:both 可以和動詞連用,也可與and 構(gòu)成并列連詞。在使用時,要注意下列幾點:(1) both 與動詞連用時,一般放在系動詞 be 之后,或其他動詞之前。如:His parents are b

15、oth workers他父母都是工人。 They both enjoy reading他們倆都喜歡閱讀。(2) both 可與 and 構(gòu)成并列連詞,連接兩個性質(zhì)相同并在句中作相同成分的并列結(jié)構(gòu)。如:Both he and his elder brother are good at English。他和他哥哥都擅長英語。 (連接兩個主語)She can both dance and sing她既會跳舞又會唱歌。 (連接兩個謂語動詞)Mary is both kind and beautiful瑪麗既善良又美麗。 (連接兩個表語)12. You have your school work to

16、do, So you shouldn't spend too much time collecting things!你們有功課要做,所以不該花太多的時間在收藏東西上! school work 是指學校布置的各種作業(yè), 包括“回家作業(yè) (homework)”,也包括“課堂作業(yè) (class work) ”。 You have school work to do中的 to do 也是動詞不定式作定語,修飾school work。 too much 意為“太多”,修飾不可數(shù)名詞 name。又如:We bought too much food at the supermarket today

17、 How can we get it home?我們今天在超市買了太多食物。我們怎么拿回家呢? spend 的用法:(1)使用 spend時,主語只能是表示人的名詞或代詞。如:Andy spent a lot of money on books,安迪,花了很多錢買書。(2)若表示“在上花費(時間、金錢等)”,常用句型spend some money/some time onsomething,介詞 on 后接名詞或代詞。如:Kitty spends two hours on her homework every day凱蒂每天花兩個小時做回家作業(yè)。(3)若表示 “花費(時間、 金錢等)做某事”

18、,則常用句型 spend some money/some time (in) doingsomething,此時第二個動詞要用動詞-ing 形式,介詞 in 可省略。如:They spent 4450 yuan buying the LED TV他們花了 4450 元買了那臺液晶電視。(4)另外, spend 也有“度過”的意思。如:They want to spend their summer holiday in the country他們想去鄉(xiāng)村過暑假。拓展:【辨析】復習 take,spend,pay,cost 表示花費的區(qū)別(1)spend 主語是人,在上花費時間(金錢 ) ( spend- spent-spent) sb. spend 錢/時間 on sth.eg :I spent two hours on this maths problem。. sb. spend 錢/時間 (in) doing sth.eg : They spent two years (in) building this bridge.(2)pay.for 主語是人付錢買(pay-paid-paid ) sb pay + 錢 +for sth.eg : I have to pay 20 pounds for this room each month. pay for sth. 付的錢eg : I
