1、牛津高中英語模塊十Unit3 Protecting Ourselves 教材分析本單元以介紹危及人身體健康的幾個因素、人們當(dāng)今面臨的疾病和人們防治疾病的方法為主題。共由 Welcome to the unit, Reading, Word power, Grammar and usage,Task, Project 和 Self-assessment七個部分組成,由Welcome to the Unit 的四幅圖片引出話題,開展一系列聽、說、讀、寫的活動。并完成相關(guān)的任務(wù)與要求,最后以 Self-assessment自我評估表及相關(guān)練習(xí)來檢測學(xué)生對本單元內(nèi)容的掌握情況。1. Welcome t
2、o the UnitStudents are presented with four posters, three of which show some bad habits- smoking, drinking and doing drugs that can damage peoples health. The other one is about the disease Aids. The students are expected to discuss three questions related to the topics of these posters.在這一堂課中,生動的畫面
3、為學(xué)生設(shè)置了生動的語言情景,引導(dǎo)學(xué)生聯(lián)系自己的親身經(jīng)歷進(jìn)行相關(guān)話題的討論,能有效地引起學(xué)生對話題的興趣,調(diào)動學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)積極性。積極參與討論,發(fā)表自己的觀點(diǎn),從而鍛煉了他們的口語。通過這個活動,學(xué)生對于壞習(xí)慣的危害和遠(yuǎn)離壞習(xí)慣有了更深的了解和認(rèn)識。為下一步的學(xué)習(xí)做熱身準(zhǔn)備。2. ReadingThe Reading text is a TV news special transcript about the deadly disease of Aids. Students will gain more knowledge of what Aids is and how people can be
4、come infected by it. They will learn how to protect themselves from being infected with Aids. They will also learn what can be done to fight the spread of Aids.圍繞 “Reading Strategy”及課文后設(shè)計的 A,B,C,D,E,F 部分,有針對性地指導(dǎo)學(xué)生運(yùn)用略讀 (skim)或?qū)ぷx (scan)等技巧進(jìn)行閱讀。并就文章的語言特色,行文風(fēng)格,文體結(jié)構(gòu)等方面進(jìn)行分析, 以幫助學(xué)生更好地理解所讀文章,培養(yǎng)和提高閱讀能力。同時就這篇
5、文章的主題對學(xué)生開展“潔身自愛,遠(yuǎn)離艾滋”,“與艾滋做斗爭”等一系列思想政治教育。3.Word powerIn this section, it focuses on words and phrases that mean “to stop bad habits”and three types of abbreviations: general abbreviations, acronyms and initialisms.引導(dǎo)學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)和強(qiáng)化與本單元有關(guān)的詞匯和短語, 掌握“戒掉壞習(xí)慣” 的多種英語表達(dá)方法,為下一步 writing 做準(zhǔn)備。另外,了解了一些縮寫形式的規(guī)則和發(fā)音。4.Gramm
6、ar and usageThe grammar item in this unit focuses on one aspect of the structure of a text the development of a text. Students will learn how a text should be written to allow readers to move from one idea to the next easily. They will get to know that there are four features that can help develop a
7、 text logically. Students are expected to apply what they have learnt to practice by finishing an exercise.讓學(xué)生掌握組成文章的四個特征: 1. A title ; 2. A beginning paragraph; 3. Body paragraphs; 4. A concluding paragraph5.TaskThis section consists of a series of activities which provide students with opportuniti
8、es to practise their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. It is divided into three steps and each step is preceded with a skill building activity. Through the three steps, students will learn how to identify degrees of obligation and cateorize notes about warnings, how to ask for and off
9、er alternatives, and how to write warnings.通過次活動,學(xué)生能為學(xué)校小報寫一些關(guān)于濫用藥品的危害警示等稿件。體現(xiàn)了Task 這一板塊的功能。了解各種文體的格式和要求,掌握基本寫作技能。6.ProjectThis section is designed to give students a chance to practise their English by completing a project. Students will first read a booklet warning young people of the dangers of dr
10、ugs. They can learn some detailed information about drugs, their effects on the body or mind, and the legal punishments for carrying drugs. With the information given in the booklet, they will work in groups to make posters about the dangers of drugs.引導(dǎo)學(xué)生進(jìn)行探究性學(xué)習(xí), 把英語聽,說,讀,寫的訓(xùn)練從課堂內(nèi)拓展到課堂外。用英語去做一件事情, 最后呈現(xiàn)學(xué)習(xí)成果, 創(chuàng)造性地完成學(xué)習(xí)任務(wù), 培養(yǎng)綜合運(yùn)用語言的能力。7.Self-assessment根據(jù)自我評估表對該單元的各項學(xué)習(xí)目標(biāo)分五個等級( Not confident, slightly confident, confident, quite confident, very confident)逐一進(jìn)行自我評價。 讓學(xué)生體驗(yàn)自己在英語學(xué)習(xí)過程中的不斷進(jìn)步與成功, 認(rèn)
