For Preliminary Review Only: The proposed first edition of the Standard for EnergyStorage Systems a

These requirements cover energy storagesystems that are intended to store energy from power or other sources and provideelectrical or other types of energy to loads or power conversion equipment. The energystorage systems may include equipment for charging, discharging, contro

The preliminary review process is aninformal mechanism that provides authors with the opportunity to

6、 refine their proposals before theyadvance to the next stage in ULs standards development process.In some cases, the author of the proposals may choose to discontinue them. In this case, the author need not do anything after preliminary review has ended. Normally, the next step in the process is the

7、 more formal STP ballot and stakeholder review process. Only comments posted during the STP ballot and stakeholder review process will be provided with a response in CSDS.For your convenience in review, proposed additions to existing requirements are shown underlined and proposed deletions are shown

The products covered in this standard are systems that include the energy storage technology, power conversion and various compo

13、nents utilized for an electrical energy storage system.This standard attempts to address the safety of the system including the various parts of the system through reference of component safety standards or by inclusion of safety criteria in the standard in the absence of appropriate component safet

Theenergy storage systems may include equipment for charging, discharging, control, protection,communication, controlling the system environment, fuel or other fluid movement and containment, etc.The system may contain other ancil

25、lary equipment related to the functioning of the energy storage system.1.2 These systems may be used in systems that are standalone to provide energy for local loads, inparallel with an electric power system, electric utility grid or applications that perform multiple operationalmodes.1.3 These are

26、intended for use in utility-interactive applications in compliance with the Standard forInterconnecting Distributed Resources with Electric Power Systems, IEEE 1547 and the Standard forConformance Test Procedures for Equipment Interconnecting Distributed Resources with Electric PowerSystems, IEEE 15

27、47.1 or other applications intended to provide grid support functionality.1.4 The energy storage systems are to be installed in accordance with the national and local electrical codes and other applicable codes. This standard assumes that the final installation of the energy storage system will be p

28、erformed by qualified service personnel in accordance with the applicable installation instructions, installation practices and national installation codes. 56、.d) THERMAL ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEM Consists of an system that uses heated fluids such as air as a means to store energy along with associated controls and systems, which can be used to run an electric generator to provide electrical energy upon demand.6.4 ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD A potential for exposur

57、e of persons to hazardous voltages circuits through direct contact from openings in protective enclosures and/or insufficient insulation between hazardous voltage circuits and accessible parts.6.5 ENCLOSURE The outer cover of the Energy Storage System that provides protection to its contents.6.6 FUEL CELL POWER SYSTEM Equipment that converts chemical energy in the form of a fuel and oxidant into electrical energy with heat and by-products from the reaction.6.7 HAZARDOUS VOLTAGE In the United States, vol
