The teacher may give the students about 5 minutes to go through it,ticking the things they are confident that they know, putting a question mark next to those things they are not sure of, and a cross next to those they dont know.Then they may make up for it accordingly.Or you may provide a chance for them to have a consolidation.Step 5 Summary and Homework1.Summary: Summarize what they have learned in this period.2.Homework: Activity8 on P93.Appendix: Notes to the text1.His latest one,from the Malvinas islands,reads Good fishing.read v. 讀,閱讀;(文章等)內(nèi)容是(vt.),(書寫的東西)寫著,寫成(vt.);讀起來(給人以某種印象)(vi.)e.g:The full text reads as follows: 全文如下 The sign reads No Smoking.標(biāo)牌上寫著“不準(zhǔn)吸煙”。 This poem reads like a translation.這首詩讀起來像是譯文。【say vt.(標(biāo)示等)提供信息,指示 e.g:The notice said Keep Out.告示上寫著“禁止入內(nèi)”。】2.Useful expressionsin the travel trade在旅游行業(yè)(買賣、交易)rip off (vt.)敲竹杠,敲詐(be ripped off)around=about 大約get a kick out of 從中得到樂趣長江三峽 長江三峽西起重慶的奉節(jié)縣,東至湖北的宜昌市。自西向東主要有三個大的峽谷地段:瞿塘峽、巫峽和西陵峽。三峽因而得名。三峽兩岸高山對峙,崖壁陡峭,山峰一般高出江面1000-1500米。最窄處不足百米。三峽是由于這一地區(qū)地殼不斷上升,長江水強(qiáng)烈下切而形成的。因此水力資源極為豐富。 長江三峽,人杰地靈,它是中國古文化的發(fā)源地之一。大峽深谷,曾是三國古戰(zhàn)場,是無數(shù)英雄豪杰用武之地;這兒有許多名勝古跡:白帝城、黃陵、南津關(guān)等。他們同旖旎的山水風(fēng)光交相輝映,名揚(yáng)四海。長江三峽是世界大峽谷之一,以壯麗河山的天然勝景聞名中外。 三峽全長193公里(千米),兩岸懸崖絕壁,江中灘峽相間,水流湍急,唐代大詩人李白經(jīng)過這里留下了優(yōu)美的詩句:“朝辭白帝彩云間,千里江陵一日還;兩岸猿聲啼不住,輕舟已過萬重山。”使白帝城更加出名。 三峽特產(chǎn):美景、美人、美石,美景有:三峽自然風(fēng)光、三峽人家、三峽大壩,美人:有王昭君;美石有:景觀奇石幻彩紅、三峽浪。瞿塘峽長8公里,是三峽中最短的一個峽。我想它應(yīng)該也是雄偉險峻的一個峽。入口處,兩岸斷崖壁立,相距不足一百公尺,形如門戶,名燮門,也稱瞿塘峽關(guān),山巖上有“夔門天下雄”五個大字。左邊的名赤甲山,相傳古代巴國的赤甲將軍曾在此屯營,尖尖的山嘴活像一個大蟠桃,右邊的名白鹽山,不論天氣如何,總是迂出一層層或明或暗的銀輝。瞿塘峽雖短,卻能“鎮(zhèn)全川之水,扼巴鄂咽喉”,有“西控巴渝收萬壑,東連荊楚壓摹山”的雄偉氣勢。古人形容瞿塘峽說,“案與天關(guān)接,舟從地窟行”。巫峽在重慶巫山和湖北巴東兩縣境內(nèi),西起巫山縣城東面的大寧河口,東至巴東縣官渡口,綿延四十五公里,包括金藍(lán)銀甲峽和鐵棺峽,峽谷特別幽深曲折,是長江橫切巫山主脈背斜而形成的。巫峽又名大峽,以幽深秀麗著稱。整個峽區(qū)奇峰突兀,怪石磷峋,峭壁屏列,綿延不斷,是三峽中最可觀的一段,宛如一條迂回曲折的畫廊,充滿詩情書意,可以說處處有景,景景相連。清人許汝龍“巫峽”詩中說:“放舟下巫峽,心在十二峰。”這里群峰競秀,氣勢崢嶸,云霧繚繞,姿態(tài)萬千。西陵峽 在湖北宜昌市秭歸縣境內(nèi),西起香溪口,東至南津關(guān),約長66公里,是長江三峽中最長、以灘多水急聞名的山峽。整個峽區(qū)由高山峽谷和險灘礁石組成,峽中有峽,大峽套小峽;灘中有灘,大灘含小灘。自西向東依次是兵書寶劍峽、牛肝馬肺峽、崆嶺峽、燈影峽四個峽區(qū),以及青灘、泄灘、崆嶺灘、腰叉河等險灘。兵書寶劍峽在長江北岸,有一疊層次分明的巖石,看似一堆厚書,還有一上粗下尖的石柱,豎直指向江中,酷似一把寶劍,故得名。傳說是諸葛亮存放兵書和寶劍的地方。崆嶺峽內(nèi)有崆峪灘,是長江三峽中“險灘之冠”。灘中礁石密布,枯水時露出江面如石林,水漲時則隱沒水中成暗礁,加上航道彎曲狹窄,船只要稍微不小心即會觸礁沉沒,因此人們說,“青灘泄灘不算灘,崆嶺才是鬼門關(guān)”。燈影峽又名明月峽,河谷狹窄,岸壁陡峭,峰頂奇石騰空,巖間瀑布飛泉。南岸馬牙山上,有四塊巖石屹立,形似西游記中的唐僧、孫悟空、豬八戒和沙和尚。陳運(yùn)和長江三峽詩稱“瞿塘峽、巫峽、西陵峽 猶如性格相似又各具特征的兄弟般 講述優(yōu)美的神話傳說,新鮮 指點(diǎn)眾多的歷史古跡,耐看”。除此之外還有大寧河的“小三峽”和馬渡河的“小小三峽”。長江三峽不僅有已經(jīng)建成的葛洲壩,世界上最大的水電站工程三峽工程。它是世界上規(guī)模最大的水電站,也是中國有史以來建設(shè)最大型的工程項(xiàng)目。而由它所引發(fā)的移民搬遷、環(huán)境等諸多問題,使它從開始籌建的那一刻起,便始終與巨大的爭議相伴。三峽水電站的功能有十多種,航運(yùn)、發(fā)電、種植等等。三峽水電站1992年獲得中國全國人民代表大會批準(zhǔn)建設(shè),1994年正式動工興建,2003年開始蓄水發(fā)電,于2009年全部完工。大壩旅游區(qū)三峽大壩旅游區(qū)是源于1997年正式對外開放,是國家旅游局評定的國家AAAAA級旅游景區(qū),現(xiàn)擁有三峽展覽館、壇子嶺園區(qū)、185園區(qū)、近壩園區(qū)及截流紀(jì)念園5個園區(qū),總占地面積共15.28平方公里。旅游區(qū)以世界上最大的水利樞紐工程三峽工程為依托,全方位展示工程文化和水利文化,為游客提供游覽、科教、休閑、娛樂為一體的多功能服務(wù),將現(xiàn)代工程、自然風(fēng)光和人文景觀有機(jī)結(jié)合,使之成為國內(nèi)外友人向往的旅游勝地。小三峽 巫山位于長江三峽庫區(qū)腹心,素有“萬峰磅礴一江通,鎖鑰荊襄氣勢雄”的地貌景觀,和“三峽明珠”、“渝東門戶”之稱。 出瞿塘峽就進(jìn)入25公里長的大寧河寬谷,大寧河發(fā)源于大巴山區(qū),是三峽地區(qū)的一條大支流,大寧河風(fēng)光幽靜秀麗以峰秀、景幽、灘險、石美為特色,人稱“小三峽”。 大寧河小三峽是龍門峽、鐵棺峽和滴翠峽的同稱,龍門峽是“小三峽”的第一個峽谷,長約3公里,峽谷猶如瞿塘峽的“夔門”,故有“小夔門”之稱。峽谷內(nèi)兩岸峰巒聳立,絕壁摩天,河?xùn)|巖壁上有一清泉流入河中,人稱“龍門泉”;河西絕壁上可見古棧道遺跡;出了龍門峽,灘險流急,這就是著名的險灘“銀窩灘”;過灘即進(jìn)入鐵棺峽,峽長約長10公里,兩岸怪石嶙峋,形成一組組天然雕塑,妙趣橫生;沿岸可見龍進(jìn)、虎出、馬歸山等景點(diǎn),在河?xùn)|岸離水面四五米高的絕壁石縫中還有一具黑色懸棺,據(jù)考乃戰(zhàn)國時期巴人的懸棺,俗稱“鐵棺材”,峽名也由此而來;繼續(xù)向前就是小三峽中最長、最迷人的滴翠峽,峽長約20公里,峽中鐘乳石遍布,石石滴水,處處蒼翠,游峽可以欣賞到“赤壁摩天”、“紅屏翠蓮”、“關(guān)門巖”等奇景。秭歸山川優(yōu)美,人杰地靈,集名人(屈原)、名壩(三峽大壩)、名峽(西陵峽)、名湖(高峽平湖)、名物(“中國臍橙之鄉(xiāng)”)于一體,融巴楚文化、屈原文化、峽江文化于一爐,是湖北省首批優(yōu)秀旅游縣,是宜昌市旅游先進(jìn)縣。秭歸旅游景點(diǎn)眾多,除了舉世聞名的西陵峽和三峽大壩以外,有全國最大的文物
