中醫(yī)藥院校大學(xué)英語文化教學(xué)調(diào)查研究——以定西師范高等??茖W(xué)校為例Title:AResearchontheCulturalTeachingofEnglishinTraditionalChineseMedicineColleges-ACaseStudyofDingxiNormalCollegeIntroduction:TraditionalChineseMedicine(TCM)collegesplayacrucialroleinpreservingandpromotingtheancientChinesehealingsystem.AsTCMgainsinternationalrecognition,thereisagrowingneedforEnglishlanguageproficiencyamongTCMstudents.ThisresearchaimstoinvestigatetheculturalteachingofEnglishinTCMcolleges,focusingonDingxiNormalCollegeasacasestudy.1.Background:1.1ImportanceofEnglishinTCMEducation:WiththeglobalizationofTCM,EnglishhasbecomeanessentialskillforTCMpractitioners.EnglishproficiencyenablesTCMstudentstoaccessinternationalresearch,communicatewithforeignpatients,andpromotethebenefitsofTCMglobally.1.2CulturalTeachingApproach:TheculturalteachingapproachincorporateslanguagelearningwithanunderstandingofTCM'shistorical,philosophical,andculturalaspects.ThisapproachensuresstudentsgainaholisticunderstandingofTCMwhileimprovingtheirEnglishlanguageskills.2.Objectives:2.1AssessingEnglishProficiency:TheresearchwillassesstheEnglishproficiencylevelsofTCMstudentsatDingxiNormalCollegebyconductinglanguagetestsandinterviews.Thiswillhelpidentifyareasofimprovementandtailorteachingmethodsaccordingly.2.2AnalyzingTeachingMaterials:TheresearchwillexaminetheEnglishteachingmaterialsusedinDingxiNormalCollege'sTCMprogram,evaluatingtheireffectivenessinimpartingbothlinguisticandculturalknowledge.Suggestionsforimprovementwillbeprovidedbasedontheanalysis.2.3InvestigatingTeachingMethods:TheresearchwillinvestigatetheteachingmethodsemployedintheculturalteachingofEnglishatDingxiNormalCollege.Thisincludesclassroomobservations,interviewswithteachers,andstudentsurveys.Theaimistoidentifybestpracticesandsuggestimprovements.3.Methodology:3.1LanguageProficiencyAssessment:AstandardizedlanguagetestwillbeadministeredtoTCMstudentsatDingxiNormalCollegetoassesstheirEnglishproficiencylevels.Additionally,individualinterviewswillbeconductedtounderstandtheirlanguagelearningexperiencesandchallenges.3.2EvaluationofTeachingMaterials:TheEnglishteachingmaterialsusedintheTCMprogramwillbeanalyzedusingaqualitativeapproach.Contentanalysisandexpertfeedbackwillprovideinsightsintotheeffectivenessofthematerialsinconveyingculturalknowledge.3.3InvestigationofTeachingMethods:Classroomobservations,teacherinterviews,andstudentsurveyswillbeconductedtoinvestigatetheteachingmethodsemployed.Thisqualitativedatawillhelpidentifystrengths,weaknesses,andpotentialareasforimprovement.4.ResultsandDiscussion:4.1EnglishProficiencyLevels:TheresearchfindingswillrevealtheoverallEnglishproficiencylevelsofTCMstudentsatDingxiNormalCollege.Thisinformationwillcontributetodesigningappropriatelanguagecoursesandsupportsystems.4.2EvaluationofTeachingMaterials:TheanalysisofteachingmaterialswillhighlighttheirstrengthsandweaknessesinaddressingbothlinguisticandculturalaspectsofTCM.Recommendationsforimprovementwillbemadetoenhancetheireffectiveness.4.3BestPracticesinTeachingMethods:TheinvestigationofteachingmethodswillidentifyeffectivestrategiesemployedbyinstructorsintheculturalteachingofEnglish.ThesebestpracticescanbesharedacrossTCMcollegestoimproveEnglishlanguageinstruction.5.Conclusion:TheresearchontheculturalteachingofEnglishinTCMinstitutions,focusingonDingxiNormalCollege,providesvaluableinsightsintotheEnglishlanguagelearningneedsofTCMstudents.Thefindingsandrecommendationswillcontributetothedevelopmenta
