主語和謂語在“人稱”和“數(shù)”方面的一致關(guān)系,通常依據(jù)三個原則:語法一致,意義一致,就近一致。1.either...or...,neither...nor...,notonly...butalso...,or,not...but...等結(jié)構(gòu)連接并列主語時,謂語動詞與靠近它的主語保持一致。e.g.Eitheryouorhehastostayathomethisafternoon.
2.在therebe句型和以here開頭的句子中,謂語動詞與靠近它的主語保持一致。e.g.Thereisariverandtwobigtreesthere.一、就近一致原則二、語法一致原則主語的人稱和數(shù)決定謂語的形式,一般來說,不可數(shù)名詞、可數(shù)名詞單數(shù)、單數(shù)代詞作主語,謂語動詞用單數(shù);復數(shù)名詞和復數(shù)代詞做主語,謂語動詞一般用復數(shù)。and或both...and...連接名詞或代詞作主語時,謂語動詞通常用復數(shù),但若并列主語指“同一個人或事物”,謂語動詞用單數(shù)。三、意義一致原則1.表示時間、長度、距離、價格、金錢、重量等的名詞復數(shù)形式作主語時,常表示一個整體概念,謂語動詞通常用單數(shù).eg.200milesisalongwaytogo.
