andDr.PattyHill,theprincipalofthesameschool,wroteasongtogether

forthechildren,entitled"GoodMorningtoAll”.WhenMildred

combinedhermusicaltalentswithhersister'sknowledgeintheareaof

kindergarteneducation,'GoodMorningtoAU“wassuretobeasuccess.

Thesisterpublishedthesonginacollectionentitled“SongStoriesofthe

Kindergarten^^in1893.Thirty-oneyearslater,afterDr.PattyHillbecame

theheadoftheDepartmentofKindergartenEducationatColumbia

University'sTeachersCollege,agentlemanbythenameRobertColeman

publishedthesong,withoutthesisters5permission.Headdedasecond

part,whichisthefamiliar“HappyBirthdaytoYou”.Mr.Coleman's

additionofthesecondpartmadethesongpopularand,finally,thesisters”

originalfirstpartdisappeared."HappyBirthdaytoYou”hadaltogether

Thestoryof“HappyBirthdaytoYou”wasanice,sweetoneatthevery
