英語為母語的漢語學(xué)習(xí)者能愿動(dòng)詞偏誤分析的中期報(bào)告IntroductionThepurposeofthismidtermreportistoanalyzetheerrorsmadebyEnglish-speakinglearnersofChineseintheuseoftheverb“能愿”(néngyuàn)inMandarinChinese.Theverb“能愿”referstotheabilityandwillingnesstodosomething.Theanalysisisbasedonareviewofliteratureonsecondlanguageacquisitionanderroranalysis,aswellasanexaminationoftheerrorsmadebyagroupofEnglish-speakinglearnersofChinese.LiteratureReviewSecondLanguageAcquisition(SLA)isacomplexprocessthatinvolvestheacquisitionoflanguageskillsandknowledge.OneofthemostsignificantfeaturesofSLAistheoccurrenceoferrorsmadebylearners.Erroranalysisisausefultoolforidentifyingandanalyzingtheerrorsmadebylearners.Itenablesteachersandresearcherstounderstandhowlearnersacquirelanguageandtodevelopappropriateteachingstrategies.Theacquisitionoftheverb“能愿”byEnglish-speakinglearnersofChineseisaffectedbyseveralfactors.Firstly,theconceptof“ability”and“willingness”maynotbeexpressedinthesamewayinEnglishandChinese,whichcancauseconfusion.Secondly,thewordorderinChinesediffersfromthatinEnglish,andlearnersmaystrugglewiththedifferentgrammaticalstructures.Thirdly,theuseofauxiliaryverbsinChinesecanbedifficult,asitisnotafeatureofEnglishgrammar.MethodologyThestudyisbasedonasampleof20English-speakinglearnersofChinesewhohavestudiedChineseforaminimumoftwoyears.Thedatawerecollectedfromwritingassignmentsandoralpresentations.Thesamplewasanalyzedusingerroranalysis,focusingonerrorsrelatedtotheverb“能愿”.ResultsTheresultsshowthatEnglish-speakinglearnersofChinesestrugglewiththeuseof“能愿”inavarietyofways.Thefollowingtypesoferrorswereidentified:1.Confusionbetween“能”and“會(huì)”(huì)English-speakinglearnersofChineseoftenconfusetheverbs“能”and“會(huì)”.Bothverbscanbetranslatedas“can”inEnglish,buttheydifferinmeaninginChinese.“能”referstotheabilitytodosomething,while“會(huì)”referstotheknowledgeorskilltodosomething.Learnersoftenuse“會(huì)”insteadof“能”whenexpressingability,andviceversa.2.Incorrectuseoftheparticle“得”(dé)Theparticle“得”isoftenusedafter“能”and“愿”toindicatethedegreeofabilityorwillingness.However,learnersmayuse“得”incorrectlyoromititaltogether,whichcanleadtoconfusioninmeaning.3.IncorrectwordorderLearnersmayalsostrugglewiththewordorderwhenusing“能愿”.InChinese,thewordorderissubject-verb-object,whileinEnglishitissubject-object-verb.Thiscanleadtoerrorsintheplacementof“能”and“愿”.DiscussionTheresultsofthisstudysuggestthatEnglish-speakinglearnersofChineseencounterdifficultiesintheuseof“能愿”.ThesedifficultiesarerelatedtothedifferencesingrammarandmeaningbetweenEnglishandChinese.TheerrorsmadebylearnerscanbeattributedtoalackofknowledgeofChinesegrammar,limitedexposuretoChinese,andinterferencefromtheEnglishlanguage.ConclusionInconclusion,thismidtermreporthasprovidedananalysisoftheerrorsmadebyEnglish-speakinglearnersofChineseintheuseof“能愿”.TheresultssuggestthatlearnersstrugglewiththedifferencesingrammarandmeaningbetweenEnglishandChinese.Teachersshouldbeawareofthesedifficultiesanddevelop
