experiencedthiswhenweheardthattheentiregradeschoolbuildinghadbeendestroyed.Luckily,
theearthquakehappenedearlyinthemorningbeforeallthestudentswereinsidetheclassrooms.
Wehatedtohearthattheschoolbuildingdidn'tsurvivethedisaster.Butweweremorethan
relieved(放心的)toknowthatthestudentsdid!
Althoughmyhousewasstillstanding,manyneighborslosttheirhomes.Myheartbrokefor
them.Lotsoffamiliescametogetheratmyplacewherewewaitedouttheterribleaftershocks.
Althoughpeople'sheartswereheavywithsadness,beingtogetherhelpedheal(治愈)someofthe
