dayfromalcoholrelatedfatalities,andit'sjustnotnecessary,andweneedmore

educationregardingthat.

waseverheldthispageantoutsideofAtlanticCity.WhatdidyouthinkofLasVegas?

Jennifer:Itwasfabulous.IveactuallybeentoAtlanticCityforur...3years.IattendedtheMiss

AmericapageantasamemberoftheaudienceandsoIwasabletoseethevenuethere.

ComingtoVegashasjustbeenincredible;theyhaveopenedtheirarmstous,opened

theirheartstous,and,just,it'sbeenanincredibleexperience.Ithinkitwasagreatstep

forwardfortheMissAmericaOrganizationandwe...begananewtraditionrightherelast

night.

Kate:Doyouthinkthatyouhadenoughpeoplewatchinglastnight?Therehasbeensomuch

talkaboutthemovesovertoCountryMusicTelevisionbroadcastingtheeventwhether

peoplearestillinterested,whetherthepageantisstillrelevant?

Jennifer:Oh,Idefinitelythinkit'sstillrelevant.We'vehadmorepromotionforthisyear'sMiss

Americapageantthanwehavehadinyears,andI'vehadstrangerscomeupand

tellmehowmuchpromotionthey'veseen,howmuchmarketingtheyhaveseen.CMT

hasdoneawonderfuljobwiththepageant,Ithinkitwasthebestunion,thebest

decisionthatwecouldhavemade,fortheorganization,andwe'redefinitelyonourway

upfromnowonnow.
