AsidefromtheCO2lasertransitions,theabsorptionspectrumofCOhasbeenmoreaccurayandthoroughlymeasuredthananyotherspectrum.AbibliographyofearliermeasurementsonCOisgivenbyMakiandWells,1andthepresenttableswerecalcu-latedfromthemeasurementsreferredtointhatwork.Inaddition,somenewandveryaccuratefrequencymeasurements2,3havebeenmadeandwereincorporatedinthepresenttables.ThefrequenciesoftherotationaltransitionsofHFandHClwerecalculatedfromconstantsobtainedfromfittingthemeasurementsofEvensonetal.4,5andJenningsandWells.6
AnewreportoninfraredwavenumberstandardsfromtheInternationalUnionofPureandAppliedChemistry,CommissiononMolecularStructureandSpectroscopy,maybefoundinReference7.
