betweenhusbandandwife,jackandtheyellowface,givereaderstheimageofunexpectedfearandtension.analyzingthisfamousdetectivenovels,wecanfindthatmr.doyleintroducesthefeatureandhabitsofhusband—jackbyhisamberpipe.certainly,itisdescribedinlogicaldeductionofSherlockHolmes.afterappearingofjack,thestoryisgraduallytoldbyjack.whenjackisdiscussinghiswife’sbehaviorwithHolmes,itestoexcitingclimax.andwhenHolmesdecidedtosolvethisproblemwithjack,thestoryisingtopeak.afterallthedoubtsaresolved,thestoryestotheend.“well,ishouldputtheoriginalcostofthepipeatsevenandsixpence.nowithas,yousee,beentwicemended,onceinthewoodenst
