摘要:

Inaddition,healthcareprovidersshouldpromoteeducationandawarenessaboutPADtopatients,especiallythoseathigherrisk,suchasolderadults,individualswithahistoryofsmoking,andthosewithdiabetesorothercardiovasculardiseases.EarlydiagnosisandtreatmentofPADcanimprovesymptoms,preventcomplications,andultimatelyimprovethequalityoflifeforaffectedindividuals.

Innovativemedicaltherapiessuchasanticoagulants,antiplateletdrugs,andlipid-loweringagentsarealsobeingdevelopedandtestedfortheirefficacyinmanagingPAD.Forexample,recentstudieshaveinvestigatedtheuseofnovelpharmacologicagentssuchasrivaroxaban,cilostazol,andvorapaxarinthemanagementofPAD.Thesetherapies,whenusedinconjunctionwithlifestylemodificationsandexercise-basedrehabilitationprograms,mayhelptoimproveoutcomesinindividualswithPAD.
