Cytokinesaresmallsolubleproteinsthatmediateimmuneandinflammatoryreactionsandareresponsibleforcommunicationsbetweenleukocytesandothercells.Cytokinesworkbybindingtoatargetcell.Therefore,foracytokinetohaveaneffect,twothingshavetooccur:ThecytokineneedstobepresentthereThetargetcellneedstohaveareceptoronitssurfaceTherefore,regulationcanoccurateitherstep.TheresearchofCKcanhelpustoclarifythemechanismofimmuneresponsesatthemolecularlevelandtounderstandthepathogenesisofsomediseases.ManyCKsandtheirantagonistscanbeusedinthetreatmentofmanydiseases(suchascancer,infection,autoimmunediseases)andtopromotehemopoiesis,etc.
