Asmanyotherfairy-tales,theoutlineofTheLittlePrinceisnotverycomple*.“I”,thenarratorofthestory,isapilotwhoseplanehassomethingwrongandlandsintheSahara.Inthisoccasion,thepilotmakestheacquaintanceofthelittleprince,alittleboyfromanotherplanet,theAsteroidB612.Thelittleprincehasescapedfromhistinyplanet,becausehehassomequarrelwitharose,whichgrowsonhisplanet.Inthatcasehelefthisownplanetandtookane*plorationatsomeneighborasteroids.

Onhisall-alonejourney,thelittleprincemeetsdifferentkindsofpeople,whichincludesaking,aconceitedman,atippler,abusinessman,alamplighterandageographer.Fromthesepeoplehegetsaconclusionthatthegrown-upsareveryodd.Followingtheinstructionofthegeographer,hedescendsintheSahara,ontheearth.

Travelingontheearth,thelittleprince,whoseesagardenoffive-thousandroses,isovercomewithastonishmentandsadness,asheconsidershisroseisuniqueintheuniversebefore.Atthattimeafo*appears.Thefo*,whotellthelittleprinceaboutthemeaningoftheword“tame”,becomeshisnewfriend.Atthetimetosayfarewell,thefo*makeshimknowthathisroseisuniquebecausesheishisroseandtamedbyhim.Fromthatthelittleprincebeginstotreasurefriendshipandberesponsibletohisrose.

Anyway,asawell-acknowledgedbook,itmustpossessuniquefeaturetomaintainit’sposition.Andit’sreputationandpopularitywillbynomeansbedestroyedbywhatanunknownmansays.Iwilltalkaboutthemaincontentsofthebook,andtheinspirationitrendersasusual.

Thisbookmainlytellsusthee*perienceofaprincefromatinyplanet,whotraveledtomanyotherplanetsandfinallycametotheearthandmetthepilotinadesert.Theprinceandthepilotbecamegoodfriends,andthepilotgraduallygottoknowthefeelingande*perienceofhisfriend.Beforehecametotheearth,littleprincehadbeentoother6littleplanetswherehemadeacquaintancewithsomestrangepeople.Thefirstmanhemetwasakingonalittleplanet,yetheclaimedtobethekingofthespaceandridiculouslyjustifiedhisunshakablegovernanceoverall.Thesecondpersonwasamanofvanity,whoenjoyedcomplimentsofanyformwithoutconsideringwhetherit’ssincereornot.Thethirdpersonwasanalcoholicwhotriedtoforgetthefactthathe’saddictedtoacoholbydrinkinglikeafish.Thefourthpersonwasanabosolutemoney-orientedbusinessman,whocarednothingbuthisfortune.Ne*tcamethelamp-lighterwhoperformedhisdutyblindly.Thelastonewasageographerwhoknewtoomuchaboutgeographytosolvearealproblemrelatedtoit.Thesesi*peopleeachrepresentedonekindofpersonlikeus.Theauthorsatirizedpeople’sconceit,emptiness,fakeness,innocenceandblindnessthroughthetoneofachild.

Iseeeyetoeyewiththeauthorinthatthecauseofpeople’slonelinesscanbeconcludedtothenegligenceofthebondsthatconnectsthem.Peoplearesupposedtocareabouteachother,cherishwhat’sreallyimportantforthem,andbegratefulforthehappinessthatthey’vegained.Weallbelieveknowledgeande*perienceenableustoseeclearlyandmakerightjudgementsallthetime.Butwemaysometimeslosetherighttospeakstraighforwardly,thinkcreativelyorlovecourageouslyresultingfromwhatwe’vee*perienced.Thatwhyinourmiddleschoolte*tbooks,it’sthelittlekidthatbreakstheillusionoftheemperorbysaying”butmum,heain’twereanything”.

WhenIwasachild,Iwasdefinitelyagoodboywhowenthomeontimeafterschoolanddidhishomeworkandnevertriedanythingwithoutmom’spermission.AndnowIamagrown-up,andstillIamagoodman,atleast,that’swhatIheard.SometimeswhenIwaslonelyandIbegantothinkaboutmychildhood,thenallthehappinessandcare-freelifecamebacktomeasitwereyesterday.KidsthatonceaccompaniedmeduringmychildhoodnowbecomefathersandmothersoftheirkidsandImyselfamachildnomore.Thinkingaboutallthesethingshavemadememoody.There’rechangeshappeninginourliveswhetherwearehappyaboutitornot.

Peopletoldmelifeisajourneywhichwillneverstoponceit’sstarted.What’sleftbehindarehappinessandsorrow,prideandshame,successandregret.There’sgoodoldtimetoreminisceandthere’ssadhoursthatremindsusofthepain.Yourfeelingmakesthemreal,andyouknowyoulived.
