Unit3AHealthyLife第一部分教學設計說明Aboutthetopicandthestructures單元話題和結(jié)構(gòu)本單元的話題是“Ahealthylife/健康生活”,講的是“吸煙、愛滋病、身心健康”等問題,目的是使學生理解“健康是一種完全的,生理上的,心理上的和社會關(guān)系上的良好狀態(tài),不僅僅意味者沒有疾病或者不虛弱。”本單元句法項目是“it的用法”。教學設計在單元課時劃分上與課本保持一致,即“閱讀課、知識課、運用課三課時/三課型劃分”。但在實際教學過程中,我們建議教師依據(jù)學生基礎、教學條件、學校安排的因素,對課本、對教學設計重新劃分課時、裁剪、拼接使用我們提供的材料,以便“物盡所用”,達到最佳教學效果。教師也可以參照我們提出的“實際教學過程課時劃分建議”進行教學。Period1Reading閱讀課WarmingUp引導學生反思和分享他們對“健康生活”的看法,教師可以從環(huán)境健康、營養(yǎng)學、疾病預防和公共健康事務方面引導學生Pre-reading要求學生回答幾個有關(guān)“吸煙”的問題,教師可以補充:我國是世界上最大的煙草生產(chǎn)國和消費國,煙草生產(chǎn)量占世界總量的三分之一;目前有吸煙者億,占全球吸煙總?cè)藬?shù)的三分之一。人群吸煙率上升;青少年吸煙問題嚴重,煙民呈年輕化趨勢;公眾對吸煙危害的基本知識缺乏了解;被動吸煙率高;戒煙成功的比例非常低。煙草使用對我國居民的健康產(chǎn)生了嚴重的影響。目前每年約有100萬人死于與吸煙相關(guān)的疾病,預計到2050年將增至每年300萬人。Reading“爺爺?shù)闹腋妗笔瞧獣?。教師應當引導學生從形式和內(nèi)容兩方面閱讀本文,提高對吸煙危害的認識。(根據(jù)WHO的估計,全球每年有500萬人死于吸煙導致的肺癌,其中有100萬人發(fā)生在中國,所以煙草是中國人民健康的主要殺手。)Period2Learningaboutlanguage知識課Learningaboutlanguage第一部分是詞法訓練,強化學生對本單元重點詞匯、短語的掌握和實用;第二部分是句法訓練,進一步強化學生對英語“it”的理解和運用。Period3Usinglanguage運用課Usinglanguage重點是閱讀“HIV/愛滋?。耗闾幱谖kU中么?”,讓學生明白:艾滋病就是人體免疫系統(tǒng)被一種叫做HIV(人類免疫缺陷病毒)的病毒所破壞,因此身體喪失了抵抗力,不能與那些對生命威脅的病菌戰(zhàn)斗,從而使人體發(fā)生多種不可治愈的感染和腫瘤,最后致被感染者死亡的一種嚴重的傳染病;愛滋病毒主要是經(jīng)由性行為傳染、血液傳染及母子垂直感染,但愛滋病毒不會從一般公共場所或日常生活接觸中得到,即使和感染者一起游泳,也不會感染。實際教學過程課時劃分建議Period1將WarmingUp、Pre-reading、Reading和Comprehending整合在一起上一節(jié)“閱讀課”。Period2將Learningaboutlanguage和Workbook中的USINGWORDSANDEXPRESSIONS、USINGSTRUCTURES整合在一起上一節(jié)“語言知識課”。Period3將Usinglanguage設計為一節(jié)包括聽說讀寫單項技能或組合技能訓練的“綜合技能課(一)”。Period4將Workbook的READINGANDLISTENING和TALKING整合在一起上一節(jié)“聽說課”。Period5將Workbook的LISTENINGTASK、READINGANDWRITINGTASK和SPEAKINGTASK整合為一節(jié)“綜合技能課(二)”。第二部分教學資源說明Section1Background背景圍繞單元話題“健康生活”我們提供了若干實用性背景材料。這些材料既可以作為教師教學參考材料為教師所用,也可以直接或改寫、重組后作為課堂內(nèi)外的拓展性閱讀材料呈現(xiàn)給學生。Section2Explanation解析重點針對“閱讀課型”中的課文難句,我們提供了詳盡的,就句論句的解析和翻譯,并且以解析的焦點話題為線索,進行了一定的歸納、辨析和總結(jié),以幫助教師更好地實施“語言形式”的教學。Section3Vocabulary詞匯按照課本單元詞匯表順序,我們重點提供動詞、短語搭配的講解。所提供的例句,經(jīng)典、地道、實用、易懂,完全可以直接用于教學。第三部分教學測評說明圍繞單元詞法、句法項目,我們提供了長短不一的“單元教學測評”,并備有參考答案供教師使用。有些測評題目直接源于歷年高考試卷,更具有說服力和實用性。Part1TeachingDesign第一部分教學設計Period1Asamplelessonplanforreading(Ahealthylife)IntroductionInthisperiod,afterthewarmingup,studentswillpre-readingthetextbygettingtoknowaboutthefivekeysforquitting.Thentheyshallbereadingthetextbyaprocessofreadingaloudtotherecording,underliningandjottingdownexpressions,readingtodecideonthetypeofwritingandsummaryofthetextandretellingthetext.Theywillreadbeyondthetext.Andtheclassistoendbystudentshavingatest.Three“WarmingUp”designsarepresentedinthisbookforteachers’reference.Computerandoverheadprojectormaybeusedtoaidtheteachingandlearning.ObjectivesTohelpstudentslearntoexpressprohibition,warningandpermissionTohelpstudentslearntoreadaletterabouthealthylifeTohelpstudentsbetterunderstand“l(fā)ivingahealthylife”TohelpstudentslearntousesomeimportantwordsandexpressionsTohelpstudentsidentifyexamplesof“it”inthetextFocusWordsstress,manage,quit,weaken,kissExpressionsdueto,addictedto…,accustomedto,decideon,inspiteof,feellikedoing,takerisks,atrisk,getinto,standforPatternsItmayhelpyoutostop.It’samazingthat…I’mstillfitenoughtocycle20kilometersinanafternoon.Bytheway,didyouknowtherearethreedifferentwaysyoucanbecomeaddicted?ButIdidfinallymanage.Iknewitwastimetoquitsmoking.AidsMultimediafacilities,tape-recorder,photos,diagramsProcedures1.Warmingup⑴WarmingupbydiscussingHowareyou,boysandgirls?Todayweshallreadaboutsmoking.Doyousmoke?Doyourparentssmoke?Let’sfallintogroupsoffouranddiscussaboutthehealtheffectsofsmoking.Let’strytolistallthepossibleproblemsthatmightbecausedbysmoking.Tobaccouseplaysaroleinmanydiseaseswhichultimatelyleadtodeathordisability.Withover4000chemicalcompoundspresentintheinhaledsmoke,severalofwhichareknowncarcinogens,it'snowonderthattheeffectsofsmokingaresodestructive.Whatarethetwobigdiseasesyouthinkofbeingrelatedtosmoking?Chancesaretheyarelungcancerandemphysema,neitherofwhichisthenumberonekillerofsmokers.Heartdiseaseholdsfirstplace.Researchersreportthatworldwide,therewere1,690,000prematuredeathsfromcardiovasculardiseaseamongsmokersintheyear2000.Incontrast,therewere“only”850,000lungcancerdeathsfromsmokinginthesameyear.⑵WarmingupbylistingstepstolivingalonghealthylifeHowareyoutoday?Notfine?Why?ThenbeforewetakethisnewunitAhealthylife,lets’firstthinkandlistsomestepstolivingalonghealthylife.Step1:Giveyourbodytheenergyitneeds.Step2:Stayphysicallyactive.Step3:Ahealthymindispartofahealthybody.Step4:Keepyourmindandbodyfreeofharmfuldrugsandalcohol.Step5:PracticesafelivinghabitsStep6:Getregularhealthcare.⑶WarmingupbygoingoverthevocabularylistBeforewereadthetextonpage18,weshallgooverthevocabularylistforthisunitonpage91.Weshallmakeastoryoutofthewordsandexpressions.2.Pre-readingbygettingtoknowaboutthefivekeysforquittingBeforeyoureadthetextIshalltellyouhowImanagedtoquitsmokingyearsago.Ithinktherearefivekeysforquittingsmoking,thatis:Getready.Getsupport.Learnnewskillsandbehaviors.Getmedicationanduseitcorrectly.Bepreparedforrelapseordifficultsituations.3.Reading⑴ReadingaloudtotherecordingPleaseturntopage19.Readthefourdiscussionquest
