Whatdoyouknowaboutmilu?Saysomethingaboutthem.糜鹿別名四不象學(xué)名Elaphurusdavidianus英文名David’sdeer鹿科Cervidae分布原產(chǎn)于遼寧、華北、黃河和長江中下游國家一級保護(hù)動物體長約200厘米，體重100（雌）～200（雄）千克，因其頭似馬、角似鹿、尾似驢、蹄似牛而俗稱四不象。僅雄鹿有角，頸和背比較粗壯，四肢粗大。主蹄寬大能分開，趾間有皮腱膜，側(cè)蹄發(fā)達(dá)，適宜在沼澤地行走。夏毛紅棕色，冬毛灰棕色；初生幼仔毛色橘紅，并有白斑。由化石資料推測，糜鹿原產(chǎn)于我國東部濕潤的平原、盆地，北起遼寧，南到海南，西自山西、湖南，東抵東海都有分布。為草食動物，取食多種干草、苔草及鮮嫩樹葉。喜群居，發(fā)情期一雄多雌；通常7月份開始交配，懷孕期315—350天，每胎產(chǎn)1仔。18世紀(jì)我國野生麋鹿種群已經(jīng)滅絕，僅在北京南苑養(yǎng)著專供皇家狩獵的鹿群，后被八國聯(lián)軍洗劫一空，盜運(yùn)國外，1985年以來，我國分批從國外引回80多只，飼養(yǎng)于北京南苑和江蘇大豐縣。在散放的江蘇省大豐縣已建立麋鹿自然保護(hù)區(qū)，為麋鹿在自然界恢復(fù)野生種群而開展保護(hù)管理和科學(xué)研究工作。
