特洛伊木馬是《木馬屠城記》里記載著的希臘軍隊用來攻破特洛伊城的那只大木馬。而《木馬屠城記》則是古希臘詩人荷馬在其兩部著作《伊利亞特》與《奧德賽》里所記載的希臘與特洛伊人發(fā)生的特洛伊戰(zhàn)爭的一部分,是整個戰(zhàn)役中的最后一個故事。在這個故事情節(jié)之前,特洛伊人打敗了希臘的軍隊。希臘聯(lián)軍圍困特洛伊久攻不下,于是假裝撤退,留下一具巨大的中空木馬,特洛伊守軍不知是計,把木馬運進城中作為戰(zhàn)利品。夜深人靜之際,木馬腹中躲藏的希臘士兵打開城門,特洛伊淪陷。
