1、中外文化差異。經(jīng)常會聽到這樣一個故事:中國的父母帶孩子去公園玩,當(dāng)孩子跌倒時,絕大多數(shù)父母 會選擇立刻上前扶起孩子,哄他別哭。而同樣一個問題丟給外國父母,他們中的絕大多數(shù)則 會鼓勵孩子自己站起來,并夸他真勇敢。小事情,大道理。從這一問題就可以窺視出中西方 對兒童教育方面的差異。我們先來看看外國父母是如何教育孩子的。他們崇尚并引導(dǎo)孩子獨立。這種獨立性包含許多方面。在金錢獨立性方面,即使家財萬 貫的父母也不會多給孩子一分錢,當(dāng)然更不會出現(xiàn)任他們揮霍的情況了,他們希望孩子能自 己賺錢。這樣做無非是想培養(yǎng)孩子良好的理財意識;而在情感獨立性方面,他們和孩子的關(guān) 系不是親人,更多的是朋友。朋友之間的談話不
2、會有隔閡,有代溝。父母多半充當(dāng)?shù)氖莾A聽 者和建議者;在人格獨立性方面他們大多數(shù)情況下都不會成為“大家長主義”的實行者,他們 更愿意傾聽孩子的心聲,而不是“獨裁”。當(dāng)然,這只是中西方兒童教育的一個方面。而真正影響他們之后不同人生的是一個更關(guān) 鍵方面,就像一則廣告對人”的解釋:原先人與人是在同一水平面上的,而后差距卻越來越 大。為什么會越來越大呢?而這其中的差距又是什么呢?我想,這其中之一就是思維方式的不同。記得有人說過這樣一句話,外國人努力學(xué)習(xí)是為了 畢業(yè),而中國人努力學(xué)習(xí)是為了進大學(xué)。這就導(dǎo)致了學(xué)習(xí)制度的不同,老師教育學(xué)生思維方 式的不同。有些人有新穎而獨具創(chuàng)造力的思維,所以效率比別人快,效果
3、比別人好。思維方 式,特別是獨具創(chuàng)造力的思維方式,就得從娃娃抓起。對孩子的教育,中國人采用說教式,即這是什么,這能干什么,你應(yīng)該做什么,不應(yīng)該 做什么以及應(yīng)當(dāng)怎樣做。久而久之,養(yǎng)成了不動腦的習(xí)慣,因為凡事都有自己堅強的后盾” 嘛。即使做錯了事,也有理由開脫:爸媽沒教我,我不會!等到孩子成長到一定階段,思維 在一定程度上有了定勢,再想創(chuàng)新也比別人少了個“底子”啊。就如“地基沒打牢,房子蓋了 也是空殼”一樣。馬克思說過,“中國的祖先是早熟的兒童,而希臘的祖先才是正常的兒童”。對兒童教育方面 缺乏思考也與我們祖先有關(guān)。早在孔子時代,當(dāng)古希臘祖先正在幻想美麗神話的時候,我們 的祖先就已經(jīng)“成熟”起來,
4、已經(jīng)寫出能讓今人仍能傳誦的經(jīng)典著作了。當(dāng)然這并不是說要摒 棄我們祖先超前的智慧,偉大的貢獻(xiàn)。孩子創(chuàng)造力的培養(yǎng),任重而道遠(yuǎn)。說了這么多,一句 引導(dǎo)孩子,而不是“教”孩子。Often hear such a story: Chinese parents with children to play in the park, when the child fell, most parents will choose immediately forward up children, coax him, dont cry.
