實習(xí)生船員面試英語

1、實習(xí)生面試問題及參考答案大多數(shù)實習(xí)生往往剛剛或者即將從海事院校畢業(yè)，考慮到這些人并沒有什么船上工作的實踐知識，任何船東在面試實習(xí)生時都不會提問船上實際工作遇到的問題，而主要是考察實習(xí)生的專業(yè)知識、英文水平、身體素質(zhì)、精神面貌、個人性格、人品等等。扎實的專業(yè)基礎(chǔ)知識表現(xiàn)在所修過的課程的內(nèi)容，所取得的成績等方面。為了給船東一個良好的印象，最好能基本說出所學(xué)課程的英文名稱、該門課程的主要內(nèi)容，以及通過學(xué)習(xí)某門課程的收獲等。我們在這里特別提醒您的是，不要對學(xué)校和學(xué)校所開設(shè)的課程有太多的抱怨，因為學(xué)校那么差怎么能培養(yǎng)出什么像樣的學(xué)生呢。船東多數(shù)是外國人，過多批評本國或本學(xué)校的不足也是一種妄自菲薄的表現(xiàn)。

2、此外，船東還可能認(rèn)為，你這個人可能會對所有的事情都很挑剔，很難和他人合作，也很難適合團隊的工作氛圍，因為他們可能會想，你有可能認(rèn)為船東公司及船上的管理規(guī)定也一無是處。至于你的英文水平，船東通過和你交談就一目了然了。目前，中國海事院校畢業(yè)的學(xué)生英語水平盡管和前些年相比有很大的提高，但總的來說和諸如印度、菲律賓等船員輸入大國相比還有一定的差距，也還不能達到國外的一流船東，特別是歐美船東的要求。另外，航海專業(yè)英語比較薄弱也是很多畢業(yè)生所共同的問題。很多同學(xué)一般介紹類的英文還行，但一旦要用英文說一些比較專業(yè)的問題就卡殼了；不是不能回答，而是不能用英文表達自己的意思。所以，建議大家在面試前或上船前費點時

3、間，把學(xué)過的專業(yè)英文詞匯復(fù)習(xí)一遍。另外，在面試前千萬不要放棄英文的學(xué)習(xí)。對中國學(xué)生而言，我們英文學(xué)習(xí)的環(huán)境的確稍微差了一些。原因是如果自己不利用課堂、教科書、媒體等學(xué)習(xí)英文，幾乎很難遇到其他講英文的環(huán)境。所以建議大家在待派期間，選上一兩本好的英文教材在家系統(tǒng)的學(xué)習(xí)。走遍美國、PRESON TO PERSON、SIDE BY SIDE等教材都是很好的練習(xí)聽力和口語的教材，這些教材系統(tǒng)性強，語言活潑生動，有利于自學(xué)。當(dāng)然，如果經(jīng)濟條件允許，參加一些短期英文學(xué)習(xí)班系統(tǒng)學(xué)習(xí)更好。此外，利用電視、收音機等英語教學(xué)和新聞節(jié)目聽英語也非常不錯。還有，若想糾正自己的發(fā)音和提高自己的聽力，應(yīng)該經(jīng)常收聽美國之音（

4、VOA）和英國廣播公司（BBC）的節(jié)目，當(dāng)然最好是收聽他們提供的SPECIAL PROGRAMS（特別節(jié)目），以及他們提供的英文教育節(jié)目?？傊?，英語學(xué)習(xí)決不是一朝一夕的事情，而是一個持之以恒，不斷提高的過程，應(yīng)該利用一切時間和機會，時時不可懈怠。有的船員，特別上剛剛畢業(yè)的學(xué)生，覺得應(yīng)該在船東面前顯得謙虛一點為好，因此可能會對船東說, “ I am sorry, my English is not very good.” 這也許并不是一句好話。這里有一個東西方文化差別的問題。對于臺灣、香港、新加坡以及韓國等亞洲國家的人來說，謙虛是個美德，他們絕大多數(shù)人也許不喜歡善于外露和夸張自己的人；而對于西方

5、人來說，他們并不理解謙虛這種我們東方人所認(rèn)可的美德。換句話說，你如果在西方人面前表現(xiàn)的十分謙卑的樣子的話，他可能會認(rèn)為你這個人對自己沒有信心，或認(rèn)為你真的干不好什么似的。所以，針對來自不同地區(qū)的船東，要有不同的策略。也就是說，在亞洲船東面前，稍微顯得謙虛一點并沒有害處；而在歐洲和美洲船東面前，要顯得有自信心，要讓對方覺得你能干什么，并且能干好。但是，值得一提的是，隨著全球化和一體化的趨勢的加強， 不同文化和文明的人們的接觸和溝通越來越多。不同的文化融合越來越明顯，人們的思想和思維方式也越來越接近?？偟膩碚f，在接受面試時，自信的人還是絕大多數(shù)考官喜歡的。當(dāng)然，對于即將邁向社會的學(xué)生來說，家庭情況

6、、個人情況、人生觀、價值觀、理想信念、業(yè)余愛好、將來的打算、社會責(zé)任感等對于他未來從事的事業(yè)有很大的影響，船東在面試時自然不想錯過考察實習(xí)生這方面的情況。所以，實習(xí)生在面試時更應(yīng)該考慮在這些方面給船東留下一個很好的第一印象。很多同學(xué)在學(xué)校品學(xué)兼優(yōu)，但到了社會上卻很難成功，歸其原因，在于沒有學(xué)會如何到社會上做人，如何和他人相處，船東當(dāng)然不太希望雇傭這樣的船員。所以，船東還可能會通過一些問題來看畢業(yè)生在管理、人際交往、性格等方面的問題。在一些方面，我們要特別提醒的是，不論你的性格多么特殊，如過于表露或過于沉默，為了面試成功，你回答考官問題的答案以及你的表現(xiàn)盡量顯得你是一個常人，而不是大多數(shù)人所認(rèn)為

7、的特殊性格的人。標(biāo)新立異當(dāng)然并不一定是件壞事，但是，對剛剛走向社會的人來說顯得普通平凡一點還是大多數(shù)人所認(rèn)可的。當(dāng)然，實習(xí)生剛剛從學(xué)校出來，在成人面前顯得天真、熱情、活潑一些也很重要。其實，船東并不希望剛從校園邁出來的畢業(yè)生就很世故。把世上什么事情都看破，憤世嫉俗、狡猾多端、油腔滑調(diào)都是船東所不喜歡的。俗話說，要想做事，先學(xué)會做人。另外，年輕人就該有年輕人的朝氣和活力，老氣橫秋，把世界看得一片炎涼，船東和考官們也是不會喜歡的。筆者發(fā)現(xiàn)，有些畢業(yè)生盡管英文和業(yè)務(wù)都不是很好，但那種熱情向上的態(tài)度卻迷住了考官，面試中反而成功了。在談及自己的理想時，要讓船東覺得你這個人在平凡樸實自信的同時，又不乏具有

8、遠大的抱負，是任何公司都應(yīng)該培養(yǎng)的人。下面的問題是船東在面試實習(xí)生時可能要提問到的，筆者就有些問題提供了參考答案，大家在閱讀時可以有選擇地參考一下。1. Please briefly introduce yourself (as a deck cadet) to us.
