9、 單音節(jié)詞和少數(shù)雙音節(jié)詞在詞尾加 -er ，-est ，以輔音加 -y 結(jié)尾的詞變 -y 為-i ,再加-er , -est.以-e結(jié)尾的詞加-r , -st.以一個輔音字母結(jié)尾 的單音節(jié)詞要雙寫最后一個字母，再加 -er ， -est. 三個或者是三個音節(jié)以 上（多音節(jié)） , 比較級的構(gòu)成 : more+ 原級; 最高級的構(gòu)成 : the most+ 原級. 有一些雙音節(jié)詞既可在單詞結(jié)尾加 -er ，-est ，也可與 more/less 和 most/least 連用，如 narrow'n?ro狹窄的，clever , commorp'k a m?n普通的；常見的，plea
