The worker and the writer_are_ (is / are) from Beijing.and 連接兩個不同概念的名詞時,謂語動詞一般用復(fù)數(shù)1.8 . 不定代詞 any (one, thing, body); some (one, thing, body); every (one, thing, body) ;no (one, thin

Anybody _is_( be ) to be punished if he/she breaks the rules here.2.謂語動詞為復(fù)數(shù)的情況2.1 people , police, cattle 等形單而意復(fù)的集合名詞作主語。The police _are_(are/is )looking for the missing child. 2.2 the+adj./ ed 表示一類人;the+姓的復(fù)數(shù)形式表一家人做主語時。The rich _are_(are/is) not

The Whites _are going to_(is/are going to) make a trip to London.2.3 由山脈、群島、瀑布(falls)、運(yùn)動會等s 結(jié)尾的專有名詞作主語。The Olympic Games _are_(are/is )held once every four years.2.4 a number of /quantities of /a group of +名詞作主語。A group of students_are_ (is/are) absent yesterday.The number of pages in
9、 this book is 60the number of表示“的數(shù)量”,跟復(fù)數(shù)名詞連用作主語時,中心詞是number,謂語動詞要用單數(shù)。3.謂語動詞單、復(fù)數(shù)視情況而定 3.1 集體名詞class, family, army, team, club, crowd, audience, public , group, government, majority等作主語。強(qiáng)調(diào)整體用單數(shù),指個體成員用復(fù)數(shù)。3.2 . means, works, sheep, fish, deer等單復(fù)數(shù)同形的詞,根據(jù)主語表達(dá)的概念或其修飾語而定。 The steel works is near the station
10、. 3.3 “some/any/half / most / enough / part / the rest / 分?jǐn)?shù)、百分?jǐn)?shù) + of + 名詞”作主語, 謂語動詞要和 of 之后的名詞單復(fù)數(shù)保持一致。The rest of the students_are_ watering trees. The rest of the wine _has_ gone bad. 4. 就近一致原則由or , either or, neithernor, notbut,not onlybut also 等連接的并列主語,謂語動詞常和靠近的
11、作主語的名詞在單復(fù)數(shù)上保持一致。 Not only he but also I _am_ ( is/are/am) invited. Neither my gloves nor my hat _goes_(go/goes)with the dress. 但注意:“with/ along with / together with / including / but /not / except / like/ as well as / no more than / rather than +名詞”置于主語后,謂語動詞一般仍和前面的名詞在單復(fù)數(shù)上保持一致。 The teacher with a nu
