My lesson istaken from unit 7 of book 1 for grade 8 junior high school. The title is“Will people haverobots

2、?”My teaching plan will include six parts. They are teaching material analysis,analysis of the students, teaching methods, teaching procedures, blackboard design andteaching reflections.Part 1 teaching material analysis1. Status and functionThe theme of unit 7 is about“l(fā)ife in the future.”Students w

3、ill learn the usage ofsimple future tense and master how to make predictions. The contents can raisestudentsinterest to express their ideas about the future with full imagination. It is relatedto the contents of unit 6 and unit 10, so unit 7 plays an important role in this book andsimple future tens

4、e is always examined in tests.2. Teaching objectivesAccording to the general description about the total objectives in EnglishCurriculum Standards and the analysis above, I put forward the following teachingobjectives:A) Knowledge objectives:Master the key words and key sentences structures,Grasp th

5、e usage of simple future tense.B) Ability objectives:Improve the four skills, especially the ability of speaking and listening;develop the ability of thinking independently.C) Moral objectives:Stimulate studentsmotivation, establish self-confidence,Cultivate their cooperative ability by arranging di

7、erstand some useful phrasesand long sentences and use them properly.Part 2 Analysis of the studentsFor the 8-grade students, their age is generally around 14. They are more curiousabout new things, so their interests in learning are easier to be aroused. After one yearsstudy and practice under the n

8、ew course standard, they have had some basic knowledgeof words, grammar and language structure and also, primary abilities of cooperation, andexploration.Part 3 Teaching methodsTeaching methods:1. Task-based Language TeachingIn this lesson, I will create some real situations according to the book, s

9、o that thestudents can finish different tasks and get a better understanding of the targetlanguage.2. Communicative ApproachStudents can learn to make predictions by communicating with each other in pairs orgroups.3. Audio-lingual MethodUsing the computer to give students a video and some listening

10、materials, throughthis can increase studentsinterests and train their listening ability.Part 4 Teaching procedureNow lets go to the most important p-a-tret aching procedures. I will divide theteaching procedures into 5 steps.Step 1: Warm up and lead in (5mins)a. At the beginning of the class, I will

11、 give them a video to watch. This will be anexciting and important part. The video is employed to warm up the students, and candraw their attention.b. After watching this video, I will ask students what do they think peoples living willbe like in the future.Step 2: Learn the new words and structures

In order to check if students master the difference usage between fewer and less,I will make a match among students show cards with different nouns to them and letthem tell me which will be chosen .Those who can guess them fastest and best will berewarded.b.
