4、其用法，談?wù)剛€(gè)人的一些看法。I. 名詞+ly構(gòu)成的形容詞這一類(lèi)形容詞的詞義一般可以從相應(yīng)的名詞的詞義中推出來(lái)，意思是“具有性質(zhì)或特點(diǎn)的。女口：1. Her lips were set in a gentle and saintly smile.她的嘴角上總是掛著一絲溫柔，圣潔的 微笑。2. 7、y girl, who always keeps her room clea n.她是個(gè)愛(ài)干凈的姑娘，總是保持她的 房間整潔。以上sick, sickly和clean, cleanly兩對(duì)形容詞中，sick表示"暫時(shí)生病的” ，clean表示"暫時(shí)干凈的”。因此sick和clean表示的是"一時(shí)” 的現(xiàn)象。Sickly表示“體弱多病的，好生病的”，cleanly表示“注意清潔的，有清潔習(xí)慣的”。因此sickly和cleanly表示的是“慣常的趨向”。 不過(guò)，在下面兩組例句中，有-ly與沒(méi)有-ly的形容詞詞義相去甚遠(yuǎn)，幾乎毫不相干。如：9.
