1、法律英語課程教學(xué)大綱（legal english）課程編號：070434適用專業(yè)：法律（本科）總學(xué)時數(shù)：54課時 學(xué)分：3分編制單位：社會科學(xué)系法學(xué)教研室 查曉雯編制時間：2005年11月30日一、課程的地位、性質(zhì)和任務(wù)(the status, character and the teaching purpose)法律英語是依據(jù)大學(xué)英語教學(xué)大綱對大學(xué)英語應(yīng)用提高階段在專業(yè)英語方面的教學(xué)要求，適應(yīng)中國加入世貿(mào)組織后進一步擴大對外交流形式的需要，以培養(yǎng)更多既有扎實法律專業(yè)知識又精通外語的法律人才的需求，所開設(shè)的法學(xué)專業(yè)本科必修課程的課程。本課程以英美法為教學(xué)核心內(nèi)容,包括英語法律術(shù)語、英美法系與大

2、陸法系的比較、英美律師職業(yè)介紹、英美主要部門法、wto 法律文件選讀、國際經(jīng)貿(mào)法律、法學(xué)研究技巧與資源的運用。本課程歷時一個學(xué)期，其教學(xué)目的旨在培養(yǎng)和提高學(xué)生在法律領(lǐng)域里應(yīng)用英語的能力。在教師的指導(dǎo)下，學(xué)生通過閱讀一些精選的法律類英語文章掌握法學(xué)基本概念和基本理論以及專業(yè)術(shù)語。在教學(xué)過程中著重于擴大學(xué)生的專業(yè)詞匯量，提高學(xué)生的英語閱讀理解水平。同時，本課程采用個人發(fā)言和小組討論等多種形式以增加學(xué)生的語言實踐機會，使他們能將專業(yè)知識與英語知識很好地結(jié)合，最終具有較強的英語口頭交流能力和翻譯能力 according to the teaching criteria of the college e

4、, the comparison between the anglo-american law system and the continental law system, the introduction of legal profession, the legal departments of the anglo-american, the supplementary reading material of wto, and the techniques and sources for legal research (skills for presenting and legal writ

5、ing).legal english lasts one semester with its purpose of developing students ability to take use of english in the legal field. with help of the teachers, the students can successfully master some basic legal terminology and theories, and in law by reading some well-selected english legal essays. i

6、n process of teaching and learning, the emphasis is placed on enlarging students vocabulary in legal english and on raising their english reading comprehensive levels. meanwhile, the course adopts individual speeches or group discussions and other teaching methods in order to provide as more lingual
