2、closed. 3.My job is to teach you English. 4.The reason why he came late was that his clock didnt work. 【課內(nèi)探究案】1.What is the predicative?表語是用來說明主語的身份、性質(zhì)、品性、特征和狀態(tài)的,表語常由名詞、代詞、數(shù)詞、動(dòng)詞過去分詞、動(dòng)詞的-ing形式、副詞、介詞短語、形容詞、不定式和從句等來充當(dāng)。2.表語從句的定義:The question is difficult.( 表 )The question is who will do it.( 表 )在復(fù)合句中做表語
3、的從句,叫做表語從句。它位于主句的系動(dòng)詞之后,對(duì)主語進(jìn)行解釋說明,使主語的內(nèi)容具體化。3.可以接表語從句的系動(dòng)詞有:(1)狀態(tài)系動(dòng)詞:be (2)感官系動(dòng)詞:feel , seem , look, appear ,sound, taste , smell (3)持續(xù)系動(dòng)詞:stand , lie , remain ,keep, stay(4)變化系動(dòng)詞:become ,get , grow , turn , go , come, run, fall(5)終止系動(dòng)詞:prove, turn out 4. 引導(dǎo)詞從屬連詞:that / whether /as if /as though (if不引
4、導(dǎo)表語從句)連接代詞:who / whom / whose / which/ what 連接副詞:when / where / why / how (1)that that 在從句中僅起連接作用,無實(shí)際意義,在句中不作任何成分,不能省略。My opinion is that its getting better and better.(2)whether whether 在句子中不充當(dāng)任何成分,但具有“是否”的意義。注意:if不能引導(dǎo)表語從句。1 The question is whether it is worth doing.2 The question is whether we can
5、 win them.(3)as if/throughas if / though引導(dǎo)表語從句時(shí),在句子中不充當(dāng)任何成分,但有意義。譯為:似乎,好像。1 He looks as if he were a rich man.2 It sounds as if someone is knocking at the door.as if/as though引導(dǎo)的表語從句如果是事實(shí),就用陳述語氣,如果與事實(shí)不符,就用虛擬語氣(主句一般現(xiàn)在時(shí),從句就用一般過去時(shí)。主句是一般過去時(shí),從句用過去完成時(shí) )。The young man with long hair looks as if he were a g
6、irl. Dark clouds are gathering. It looks as if its going to rain.(4) what 在表語從句中充當(dāng)主語、賓語或表語 表示什么,什么樣子,或所的(人或事) The question is what caused the accident. Could you tell me who he is?(6) which 在引導(dǎo)表語從句時(shí),常充當(dāng)定語,表語 表示哪一個(gè),哪一些。 I read about it in some book or another,but what I dont know is which (book) it is. (7)where, when, why, how除在句中起連接作用外,在從句中還充當(dāng)時(shí)間、地點(diǎn)、方式、原因狀語,本身具有詞義。 This is why sh
8、e was late for the meeting.這就是她會(huì)議遲到的原因。 The question is how he did it.問題是他如何做此事的。 That is where he was born.那就是他出生的地方。注意:主語一般不用reasonThat/It is /was why 那是的原因That/It / is/ was because 那是因?yàn)?He was ill. Thats because he was sent to the hospital. (強(qiáng)調(diào)原因)He was ill. Thats why he was sent to the hos

(強(qiáng)調(diào)結(jié)果)5. 使用虛擬語氣的表語從句My suggestion is that we (should) start early tomorrow.在表示建議、勸告、命令含義的名詞后的表語從句,謂語動(dòng)詞需用“should+動(dòng)詞原形” 表示,should可省略。常見的詞有:advice, suggestion, order, proposal等。 【課后鞏固案】I.單項(xiàng)選擇1.The reason why he failed is _he was too careless.A. because B. that C. for D. because of2.Th
