Unit 10 Id like some noodles.(Section A 1a-2c)Teaching content: P55-56Teaching time: 40 minutesTeaching aims: 1: To help all the students master the key words about meat and vegetables: mutton, chicken, beef, potato, tomato, carrot, cabbage. 2: To enlarge students vocabulary by giving them more words about meat and vegetables like pork, fish, mushroom, celery, spinach and so on. 3: Enable students to express different kinds of noodles. 4: Enable students to order different sizes bowls of noodles. Teaching procedures: Step 1: Lead-inT show Ss a picture of beef and Chinese cabbage noodles, ask Ss what can they see in the picture to lead in vegetables, meat, bowl, then lead Ss to say “a bowl of beef and Chinese cabbage noodles”.Step 2: Words-teaching Show some pictures of vegetables and meat. Some are from the textbook and some are not. Let Ss to read the new words and try to memorize and its the preparation for Ss to express the noodles. Step 3: Listening part 1b. Provide Ss the conversation with the target language “What would you like? Id like the beef noodles.” And give Ss examples to practice the target language. Step 4: Learning paper task 1. Im a little cook. Give Ss the list of words about vegetables and meat. Lead them to make noodles with these words. Every student must give at least 2 names of noodles. Step 5: Pair-work. Make a conversation. Give Ss a conversation with target language, and lead them to make a new conversation with the noodles they made in step 4. Step 6: Introduction of sizes of bowls. Show Ss three pictures of bowls. They are in different sizes. A large bowl, a medium bowl and a small bowl. Let Ss practice it again and again. Step 7: Learning paper task 3 and 4. Listening part 2a and 2b.In this step, I designed 2 tasks. Task 3, check the sizes of bowl you hear in 2a. This task is different from the task in the textbook, and its purpose is to let Ss concentrate on the sizes of bowls. Its important in this class. Task 4, listen and fill the blanks. The blanks are the key points in this class. Step 8: Welcome to eat here. In this step, Ss are going to practice all the target languages and key words learned at this class. Its important for them to speak and then let Ss to master how to order noodles.
