Enjoy a video about Monkey King. Purpose:To arouse the students interests and introduce the story of Monkey KingStep 3. Pre-reading 1 Show some pictures to tell a story about a monkey who became a Monkey King from a normal monkey. Purpose: Let the students know the meanings of these words and how to read the words by listen to the story of Monkey King.For example (object, hide, tail, magic, stick, excite, western, character.)2. Play a game to remember the new words. Such as:object, hide, tail, magic, stick, excite, western. 3. Do some exercise to consolidate these words.Step 4 While-reading 1. Listen to the tape of 3a and answer the these questions.(1). Which book is talked about ?_(2). Who is the main character?_Purpose: Let the students know the main idea according to listen to the tape.2. Read the story and match the main ideas. Purpose : Let students know the main ideas of each Paragraph by reading the whole story. 3. Let the students read the passage carefully and judge T or F. (1).Sun Wukong is the main character in the traditionalChinese book Journey to the West. _(2).The monkey King cant keep the stick in his ear. _(3).The monkey neednt hide his tail when he wants to turn himself into a man or other objects._(4).The Monkey King can make 36 changes to his shapeand size_(5).As soon as the TV program came out more than 20 years ago,Western children became interested in it._Purpose : Let the read the passage carefully and improve their reading ability.Step 4 After-reading 1. 一詞多意:(從語境中猜詞義)(1).Wukong is the main character in the book Journey to the West. _(2). (1).The monkey King has excited the children of China for many years.excite (v.):_(adj.)_( adj.)excite(v.)造句:_ (adj.)造句: _(2).Journey to the west is the traditional book in China. west(n.):_ (n.)_()Purpose: Get the students know the part of speech of the words (excite, west) and the usage of the words. 讓學生進行小組PK戰(zhàn)!同聲傳譯PK賽!讓學生用come out , excite , excited , exciting , change(v./n.), turn into 造句然后小組PK ,一組說英語,另外一組說漢語,說不出來者淘汰!Pursose: Let the students know how to make sentences by using these words and phrases.turn stick hide into western excite. 讓學生做詞語運用練習題。Sanzang, Wukong, Bajie, Monk Sa continued to their journey to the_.
