Master two sentences “When did the story begin?” “What happened next?” 3. Know how to tell stories in English.過程與方法:1. Learn the new words and phrases with pictures.2. Do some listening practice.3. Have students work in groups to tell an English story.情感態(tài)度與價(jià)值觀:Let students understand “Where there is a will, there is a way”.二、教學(xué)重難點(diǎn)1、教學(xué)重點(diǎn): 1) Master the important phrases and sentences. 2) Understand Chinese fairy stories in a new way. 3) To improve students ability of speaking English.2、教學(xué)難點(diǎn): Teach students to learn how to tell a story in English.三、教學(xué)過程I. Warming up 1.Greetings 2.Free talk:Read an English story get on a gravy train . 3. Introduce the topic: Lets talk about Yu Gongs story.II Presentation 1. Look and say Present three pictures of Chinese fairy stories and ask following question:“Whos he?” and “Which book is he from?Read the story titles 3 times. 2.Discussion Which one is your favorite?Why?3.Finish Activity 1a. Match the story titles with the pictures a-d. Check the answers.4. Finish Activity 1b. Listen and check () the facts you hear. Which story are Anna and Wang Ming talking about? Check the answers. 5.Finish Activity 2a. Listen and number the pictures 1-4 in order to tell the story. Check the answers.6. Finish Activity 2b. Listen again and circle the words you hear. Check the answers.III Group Work 1. Discuss What do you think about the story of Yu Gong? 2. Have 3 minutes to discuss, and then choose one member to make a report.IV Development 1.Retell the storyWrite the story Yu Gong and Calabash Brothers with your group members with the help of the pictures. Try to retell the story in chain.2.Act it outEncourage students to act out the story.V Summary Where there is a will, there is a way.Homework:Adaptation P
