Unit 6 Meet my familyPart C Storytime I, Teaching Objectives:1 Knowledge objectives By the end of the lesson, firstly,the Ss will be able to clear about the meaning of new words and sentence patterns: baseball payer, taxi driver. These are photos of my family. Secondly, Also they can get the whole content of the story. Thirdly, they can read the story fluently and emotionally with classmates. 2 Ability objectives By the end of the lesson. The Ss can understand the story , and get useful information from the listening and reading. And they will know how to get information from pictures in the material. They also can perform the little story in right mode and feelings. Their listening, speaking, reading , writing and information getting abilities will be improved. 3 Emotion objectives By the end of the lesson,The students will learn to love and respect their parents. And the students will love to communicate with friend and classmates in English about their family members.II Teaching Key Points and Difficult Points The important point:get the whole content of the story. read the story fluently and emotionally. review the knowledge in the unit. Difficult points: understand the true feeling of different roles. perform the story with classmates. Integrate the knowledge with real scene. III Teaching Methods: TPR,Task-based,Communication, Game and Competition methods IV Teaching Tools: ppt and multimedia V Teaching Procedure: Step 1 warm-up Activity 1 daily greeting(I will act like the main role in the story-Zip. And say hello or other salutations to the students.) Activity 2 sing a song and dance with me. The name of the song is Finger Family.Ask the students follow me to present the finger dance with their hands and bodies.Step 2 pre-reading First of all, I will review some occupations And act them out. Let the students guess what are they. Then list some other occupations to the students. Let them know the meaning of the words from pictures and videos. Then the teacher teaches them the new words phrases. Such as: football player, baseball player and taxi driver.I will use some TPR (total physical response) to ask students to Guess what are they. Purpose: the purpose of this step is to form a better English learning surrounding for the Ss, and the same time, it provides situations to review learned knowledge for the next step. Then, i will ask the students to guess how many people are there in my family? The answer will be announced later. Which team get the right answer they can get a chance to play the Minesweeper game. As the main role in the story, i should invite the students to go my home. And watch a video together.That is to make the students go my home with the guidance of the video. Some important family members and information will be involved.)Purpose :the purpose of this part is to present the story.let the students be familiar with the story even though they dont know some new sentence patterns. It can help the Ss understand the language easily and naturally with the help of the video.Step 3 while-reading Listen the CD or tape the first time carefully. Then answer several questions. such as: Whats my fathers job? What my uncles job? ect. The students will use their body moving to express yes or no. watch the video the second time carefully. Then fill in the finger family on the blackboard. Then introduce the family members to the students. Use “This is a photo of my father.”This is a photo of my uncle.”.to conclude “These are photos of my family.”role-play: the first time, teacher to students. The second time, students to students.Purpose : this part will help the students get a better understanding of the story from listening, watching, reading, judging and information sorting. Ect. The students will get the interest from body moving answer and video watching. The last information sorting part can help the students grasp the story completely. Step 4 post-reading In this step , I will give Ss a free space to show their family members.First I will show my family members to the students with my hand and ask the students do some quick answer about my family, and then let them make the production by themselves. Task-based teaching method and communicative language teaching method are used here.Purpose : the purpose of this step is to develop Ss ability of communication and cooperation. Making a show time is to check if Ss can use the key words, patterns and structures correctly and skillfully in the real situation.Then, i will ask the students to watch a video about “Father and mother i love you.” and let the students love and respect their parents.Finally, its the homework time. I Will ask the students to talk about What is Zips mothers job? And write down it. Then i will ask the students download an APP called interesting dubbing. And finish the dubbing work.Step 5 blackboard design A good blackboard design can make Ss get key information in limited time. I will make a design like this:The title
