教 學(xué) 設(shè) 計(jì)建平縣第二中學(xué)于淑兵2017年5月Unit4 Why dont you talk to your parents? Period 2I. Analysis of teaching materialThe main topic of Unit 4 is talking about problems and giving advice. Teenagers today have many kinds of problems. Sometimes its difficult to solve them. So helping them to solve problems and giving them some advice is very important.II.Learning aims and demands1. Language aims:The Ss will learn some useful expressions such as argue, relation, communication and so on. They will also learn how to use “Why dont you do?” and “You could or should do” to give advice.2. Ability aim:Ss will learn to talk about problems and give advice according to the problems.3. Emotional aim:The Ss will learn to work in groups and communicate when there are problems.4. Teaching keys and difficultiesAccording to the teaching aims, the keys are to grasp some words and phrases and to improve the ability of finding out details by careful reading. The difficulty is how to write a letter to give advice.III.Teaching theories , methods and aids1. Teaching theories: Make the Ss the real master in class while the teacher acts as the director; Combine the language functions with the language structures; Make the Ss learn the emotional education during English study. 2. Teaching methods: Task-based method, it will be used in the whole lesson, and will help the Ss improve their thoughts. Situation- communicating method. This will provide enough listening and speaking situations for the Ss, and will help in their daily life and future life.3. Teaching aids: PPT, a tape recorder, and a blackboardIV.Guide of studying ways In order to guide the Ss better and develop their abilities , the Ss will learn how to communicate with each other and how to be good language learners.V. Teaching procedures1.Warming up In order to form a better English surrounding for the Ss and attract their attentions, I will begin my class with free talk. It will help Ss finish their tasks. I think well begun is half done.2 .Presentation Firstly, I will show the new words on PPT and ask Ss to read them after me, then read them by themselves. At the same time, I will correct their pronunciation.Secondly, I will play the listening material and ask Ss to listen and match the letters with the main ideas.Thirdly, I will ask Ss to read the first letter and fill in the chart on PPT. Try to find out the problems that Sad and Thirteen has. Then check the answers. When Ss say the answers, I will write them on the blackboard. Then ask Ss to retell the problems he has. Then L will lead into the second letter. Sad and Thirteen feels very lonely and nervous so he wrote a letter to Mr. Hunt. Now please read the second letter and fill in the chart on PPT. When Ss tell the answers, I will also write them on the blackboard.And then ask them to retell Mr. Hunts advice. 3. DiscussionWe have known Mr. Hunts advice very well. Now please discuss “Do you agree or disagree his advice? Why or why not?” Then ask Ss to say out their ideas. At last I will make a summary according to their opinions.4. Groupwork: Role-play the letters.For this activity, I will divide Ss into many groups and there are four Ss in a group. In a group, A is a reporter, B is Sad and Thirteen, C is Mr. Hunt and D is a reviewer. Please role-play all the contents in the letters. Then ask Ss to show their plays. And I will make a comment on their plays.5. ExercisesI will prepare some exercises before the class and ask Ss to do them and check them.6. Summary and homeworkI will ask Ss to tell what they have learnt in this cla
