One world essay- International space station Did you ever though sleep on the ceiling? Its not a joke. You can do it in the space. You can see sunrise and sunset every 45 minute! Its possible if live in the international space station. International space station is an experiment in international cooperation to see how humans can live in the space and what they need to live in the space. Its also can help people to find out new resources and materials in the space easier. Its a really big project for international cooperation. There are 16 nations made it together. International space station big like America football file and weight more than 100 million pounds. ISS cost around 100 billion dollar its far high than plan. International space station is use for future humans will live in the universe. Because earth doesnt have enough places to give human live. For live in the space we need many factor to support it, so international space station is an experiment for it. International space station was made with all over the world engineers together, but there are just 6 people can work in the ISS. But its not really have value for science. For those reason, for polity ISS has positive way also has negative way. There have many people protested about build ISS. Those things disincentive a lot for made ISS. For made ISS, NASA and other sections need many special materials because its work in the space. The most important things to made ISS are reinforce and binder. Reinforces add binder equal to composite. For example micro-composites its group of materials. In the future its will be use to make mirrors. Its kind of composite materials. For chose materials need to take care of a lot of considerations, because in the space there are no gravity, and people need to live in there. For example, light weigh is one of the considerations for chose materials. The One-pound materials in the space can be 10 pounds in the earth. So when people decide the weight of material need to be heavy than original weight. Also the strength of materials also is important. The lifetime of ISS is 10-15 years. For this much time materials need to be strong and its needed to have very long lifetime for some materials. Because some of materials cant change or fix when it work. So materials for make ISS need to be strong and have long lifetime. For other considerations is the pressure of materials, the Dimensional stability of materials and the cost of materials. Those things are really important consideration to chose materials. For the materials not been create of ISS, is the materials can make ISS lifetime longer and how to make it bigger. Now ISS just can give space for six people live and work, ISS need materials can receive the pressure of the space. For construct international space station have many positive way. One of the positive ways is for construct16 country engineers go together to make this project. For example when America decide to made ISS Russia joins this project, NASA and Russian space program start to communicate with each other and they share their ideas to each other. When ISS was finished 16 countries all can have share of ISS. Another positive way of polity is ISS is the largest space station people ever made. Its can take 6 people in the space. There have 200 experiments doing in the ISS, when those experiment have result, the result will share to all the countries join in the ISS build. So all of those reasons can show build ISS have many positive ways. Construct ISS has positive ways but also have some negative way. For example, cost of ISS around 100 billion dollar its really expensive cost and ISS not really have value for science, for some country its just a tool for international cooperation but its cost really a lot. So there are many people start protest about build ISS. They think make ISS equal to waste money. Because for each person who lives in the ISS, every county joined this project all need to pay lot money. So some people start to disincentive of build ISS. For example when ISS was building they are wrote essay and performance to the people who think build ISS is correct. And show government is unfair. For those things its jus earlier protest. At later time the protestor start to protest in the Internet they build their own website and give pressure to NASA and they become a group to protest ISS together. Second way of negative is not about small protestor group. They are countries. International space station its a really important project for international cooperation some counties was join but also most country cant joined is for many reason and they think USA didnt like to work with them. For example in the China many people had ask about why China didnt join to the ISS build. And some people start to say NASA didnt want to work with China or ISS is build for American Military so America didnt want China join this project. And for America they said China didnt join this build is because they want to do their own space station for Chinese Military so there are starts to many fighting of this topic. Build ISS have positive ways also have negative ways every people have them own think. Many someone think its just build for waste money, also ISS may is important for some people every people have different thinking. ISS is the biggest space station people ever made. Also its only space station build with 16 nations. Its big like American football field but its cost a lot of money. Its launch at 1998 to 2016. And there have 200 experiments doing in the space station. ISS have positive ways to also have negative ways. Everything wont be perfect in this world but it still has meaning for science.
